General Surgery is a Carcass inspired goregrind band (like Hemorrhage, The County Medical Examiners, Impaled and Ghoul) Rotten Sound belongs to the school of crusty grindcore (like Nasum, Gadget, and Extreme Noise Terror). So while the two bands are grindcore they are different subgenres of it.
