This is the only Ryan Adams song I like. I heard it years ago when the video was playing in an American Eagle clothing store and it never left my head. Powerful performance here but besides for the other Des and Mel live performance of this on youtube, I can't find any others. You would think he would still perform it today but since there's no videos, I guess not.

I actually think it sounds a lot better when he sings the chours w/o tryin to pull the falsetto... i mean, he can do it well enough, but his voice drops out and loses all that passion.... also, does anyone else think that the way he sings the first 2 verses (not the words, but the cadence) kinda sounds like a morrissey song? or some other jaded sounding english band? still love the track, just wonderin if anyone else was makin that connection haha?

God, his voice is so amazing here. The album version is a little hoarse. This song may sound similar to bands like the Killers or whatever, but he just did this album to prove he could make a rock and roll masterpiece, and totally pulled it off.

this was one of the best tv performances by anyone i have seen. ryan has his obviously annoying quirks, but the guy is a flat out talented badass, much more than most. i think he does the U2/Bono impression well with the vocals and music. was supposed to see him in austin for this tour but he broke his arm or something and cancelled. that sucked bad, because he doesn't seem to play loud, revved up rock shows anymore. bring back the rock, ryan!!!
