  • great vid!! very useful ur the fucking man, thanx bro

  • Your the man!!!!!! :))))))

  • Click on a block and press "P" to loop it. i use all the time XD

  • I've had Record (same shortcuts) for over a year, and I still have to look down to get F5/F6/F7 right. It's my only Reason peeve. The old rack and sequencer shortcuts of cmd+1 and cmd+2 (cntrl+1/2 on Windows) were so much more intuitive. Still to this day I sometimes press cmd+3 expecting to see the mixer! I just assumed it'd be there :(.

  • Cmd+P (cntrl+P on Windows) turns the precount on/off. I use that a lot.

I'd just like to point out a couple of alternatives to some of the "numeric keypad" shortcuts, since some of us don't have one (I use a laptop). Where I've listed "alt" it's the Mac shortcut. I'm sure the Windows ones will be similar.

    - Jump to loop start (numeric 1): alt+left arrow

    - Jump to loop end (num 2): alt+right arrow

    - Add an overdub: comma - ","

    - Add an alternate take: full-stop/period - "."

  • Also, if you press "F" you enables/disables Follow :)

  • Make a tutorial on how to make effective LFO envelopes please >.<

  • you can press ctrl + E to get into the edit mode and draw ;)

  • When i first installed R6, I cancelled the use of F5 F6 F7 and now I can't get it back. Its not in any of the preferences. Anybody dealt with that yet?

  • very useful, thank you :D

    didn't know most of them

  • had no idea the numeric pad was so useful! thanks for the tut!

  • The time stretching for midi clips was available in Reason 5 also. In case any Reason 5 users are watching this video

  • I don't know if you visit the BIAB forums much these days, but you should definitely post a link to this on there. There are always plenty of Reason beginners joining!

  • English is your FIRST language?

  • Also for the time stretching, you said on mac you do it by holding the alt key, but on Pc it's done by holding Ctrl, just so people don't get confused :)

  • I forgot to mention that you can easily place locators by holding the alt and command / alt and control keys and clicking in the timeline.

  • @ODSTHelljumper ahh that's the command i use so often, put it in an annotation definitely! :)

  • @ODSTHelljumper and you can place the "end marker" by holding the shift and clicking in the timeline ^^

  • You can activate the loop button with the L key also ;)

  • @TheOfficialProtostar True, good tip.
