  • THIS is what I call music.

  • this song was made well

  • Trevor Horn - Legend

  • 4 ppl live in the stone age

  • How are fighting mice concerned in the contest?

  • "Video Killed The Radio Star" was terriffic - but this is just supreme !

  • This goes hand in hand with Logan's Run (IMHO)

  • @skippbitman YES. Logan's run Hello.

  • if i could only play one buggles tune when i go to hell it would be this one

  • @kingiescastel I so agree with you.

  • GOOOD

  • BUGGLES wer a clear case of TALENT being overshadowed by IMAGE, there is a lot of truth being said in the lyrics of this song.

  • watch?v=eB8TLHA_eKM

  • takes me back to the good times.great music and great summers

  • I think I was born in the wrong time..

  • It's song for old future...

  • 4 need to take a rest

  • should have been as big as VKTRS

  • Beautiful 80's track. One of the best on YouTube!

  • buggles are one of my fevourites

  • The first single I bought

  • Too bad that they didn't manage to make the whole song as catchy as the beginning from 0:33 to the first refrain...

  • god this song is just so so good from buggles i do like this song a lot

  • This song came across as a bit of a joke when it first came out and I must admit when I bought it I was to young to understand what was being said, I just liked the tune, but actually when I listen to it now I find the lyrics are quiet profound.

  • memories....

  • i just like to say this song was made well

  • good song but um....

why am I hearing voices in the beginning??

  • @Eloquence34 - Because they (the voices) are on the beginning of the record (I have the 7").

  • Such a great, true, song. Profoundly underestimated.

  • y love the song

  • Always loved this track!

was followed on a cassette i once had with - the tourists!

    loved annie even then!

  • I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. It's my second or first favourite by them, it fluctuates between this and "Elstree". Hehehe

But the weird noises at the beginning kinda creep me out. It's not really that big of a deal, still though, what the crap?

  • @chocolatelover627 i don't like Justin Bieber, but just because you are over twelve and like his music doesn't make you stupid. It doesn't make you anything. It's their taste, stop being immature.

  • noting changes accept theer cloths, ill kill justin bieber =]

  • noting changes accept theer cloths

  • Someone explain to me why any Justin Bieber song has more views than this.

  • @xD1V1N1TY People keep becoming more shallow and mind numbed as time goes on. Most of the people who are over the age of 12 and like his music are either stupid and/or ignorant of other talented artists.

  • @xD1V1N1TY Because people are stupid.

  • 4:15 - 4:25 catchy !

  • It really is a pity that only Video Killed the Radio Star is generally remembered from the Buggles first album... The whole album is a masterpiece!!!

  • @carlesgom ..Ya know, I was just thinking that very same thing. Clearly, they were more faceted.

  • very cute

  • UMG can straight up LICK MY BAAAWWWLS you know what I mean? And WMG too! Eat sack! Go Buggles Go!

  • The present day is the "Plastic Age"

The 80's were so way cool.

  • AWESOME.

  • To me it's about an average man's life in the future as seen from 1980... funny how relevant some of the feelings in the song are now.

  • I hear a similarity to "Driving In My Car" by Madness in the vocal phrasing. This came first, of course.

  • this WAS 1980 - I reach out to grab it but its gone, long gone. oh sh#t!!!

  • @lifereguard

Not really gone....Take a look at my channel for eighties music!!!!!

    Thanks......

  • @dot4design Thanks for that. Really I was referring to the simplicity and ease of life back then. I guess every generation does that. But yeah, some pretty good sounds back then no question.

  • god i was born in the WRONG generation. this is a great song,

  • J'ai acheté le 33 LP en 1980 ! J'ai adoré !

  • Офигенски)))

  • i like this song

  • Geweldige plaat uit 1980 toen ik nog maar 11 jaar oud was.

  • Doesn't anybody have the video here on Youtube somewhere?

  • si no hubieran existido talvez mecano tampoco

  • looks like emperor mao with bubbles glasses

  • ..album was superb...

  • wow what a song i love it a good uk song...

  • Always wondered what horrific form of torture was being inflicted to produce the screams at the beginning...

  • They dont make timeless classics like this anymore!!!

    Buggles fan 4 life!!!

  • Hello. Allow me to introduce myself. I am topsyandpip56. I know, more or less, every major band from the 1980's, and I can tell you this has NO RELEVENCE TO ABBA WHAT-SO-EVER. This is no rip-off of Abba, I mean, how does the line: Hello Doctor! Lift my face Have any relevence to: Dancing Queen, Only 17?

  • @moneymandate "Living in the Plastic Age" has a sort of futuristic distopian essence to it. I can see where you would make that connection. This song would make a good soundtrack to Brave New World.

  • Man i love this song and also i just noticed he looks alot like bubbles from trailer park boys

  • @RocoTehBeast That cracked me up

  • tthere new song inner city is lame compared 2 this

  • by "Buy the fake and sell whats real"-"Hello doctor lift my face", that's about plastic surgery right?

    (Love Buggles)

  • @HipHipForChe Orly? ¬¬

  • @HipHipForChe I think "Buy the fake and sell whats real" might be about a heart? That's my guess becasue of the "Cardiac Arrest" bit.

  • The melody-line is fantastic! Classic tune...

  • This Is Pretty Cool

  • WAY ahead of its time - i bow to you Mr T Horn sir. Remember staring at the sleeve listening to this in 80, aged 9, in awe. Now i play the piano like a demon. Thanks TH

  • Such a great song!

  • My favourite track from The Buggles. It did sound quite futuristic when I first heard it on Radio Luxembourg in early 1980.

It's about time someone did a good updated cover version. I think WELLE ERDBALL from Germany would be up to this challenge as their sound is very similar to The Buggles.

  • Saw Asia perfom this on Friday, totally awesome!!!

  • This album is one the best every recorded.

  • true

  • video killed the radio star is amazing and im 14 :L

  • @PCMusic75 Then why the fuck are you watching it?

  • Awesome song!

  • awsome song

  • Defining album of the 80s. Hans Zimmer played much of the synths. He's such a dick! I had to do a quick drop off at his studio in Santa Monica some months back and he came out and told my driver, "Get this fucking truck out of this lot right now!!!!"

  • Really? Cause I don't see where it says that he did anywhere.

  • It's not credited anywhere on the album. In fact no other musician is credited, though many musicians contributed. The only real proof is in the music video for the song, "Video Killed The Radio Star" where you can clearly see Hans playing in front of his monolithic Modular Moog. It's toward the end of the vid where Trevor starts playing bass.

  • Geoff Downes does the keyboards.

  • I just notice the version I have on a New Wave compilation is cut... D= Good stuff.

  • I didn't realize this song was so deep...

  • cOOOOOOOOOOL!
