Im pretty surprised to hear Mani's attitude here... laterly he was the only one who stood behind John, he still keeps in contact, albeit fleetingly.... according to sources they are still pals. Suppose it was just a publicity stunt to make it clear that they were a strong band with or without , in my opinion, their catalyst...

Ian was not the worst singer in the world, especially when the Roses were on a high, between 1988 to 1990... but that reading performance was beyond awful, I guess he just lost his soul in the end...

It breaks my heart to hear this; this is hardly the way it should of ended. Every good English band sites the influence of the Stone Roses. I hope that after so many years that they will make peace with each other. Ian, John, Mani and Remi, you left a tremendous legacy behind. That is what you should be proudest of; you changed the musical direction of English Rock. God bless you guys.

It still breaks me up. Another band that I like a lot, sleeper with louise weiner, they played their last concert, shook hands so to speak and went their seperate ways. That is the way The Stone Roses should have ended. I know they will never play together again but I still hope they can make peace with each other.
