  • @photon72 @BIGSABMUSIC it's been terribly done. i would love to see it sampled and done justice.

  • I miss this Sesame Street. Teaching kids how to count and getting them interested in non-cutesy (at least instrumental wise) music. Not just entertaining the kids while mom or dad need a break and collecting the funding.

  • Wtf happened to good sesame street the new sesame sucks this old school was way better

  • Looks so much like the animation design from Fantastic Planet! Loved this as a kid.

  • im surprized no hip hop artist has sampled this yet?

  • @BIGSABMUSIC Yes, there have been! There's a remix video that combines all the Pinball songs and includes clips from the orignal animation and the Sea of Time (When I'm 64) and Sea of Science (Only A Northern Song) seqences from Yellow Submarine!

  • @BIGSABMUSIC Sadly...It‘s been done.

  • 17 people's mothers were watching soaps when Sesame Street was on....

  • I wish college was like this.

  • OMG! I LOVED this when I was little. It is so catchy, and teaches numbers, too! Watching it takes me back! Wonderful memories. :)

  • seven ! <3

  • SEEEEVEEEEEEN!

  • It starts off with 2 bars of 7/4...then goes back and forth between 4/4 and 7/4.

  • Does anyone know the time signature of this song ? I can't place it.

  • @BDFP86 It's 4/4, but it's Jazz, so there are frequently short bars.

  • There's 7 !!!! 7 dislikes A- HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ... word to the Count.

  • Ahh the way children's TV should be!!!

  • Got a new ringtone.

  • I've been paying homage to the 70's for the past 26 years. If it weren't for that time period,I wouldn't even be here on this earth today.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 i was born in 70 and i too loves these clips.....i miss those days... life was easier then i think..

  • @trashpicker1970 I,too was born in 1970. That era was the best,too.

  • India

    Egypt

    Russia

    Switzerland

    Spain

    Holland

    England

    7! That's seven countries hahahaha!

  • Anyone else think that 0:49-0:51 looks like a terrorist attack? As if someone were driving a car into Buckingham Palace?

    It could just be me.

  • Listen to how FUNKY this is! Best time to grow up.

  • i still sing this

  • the creepy voice in the beginning saying 7 scared me

  • all the good old memories are back .. lol

  • Why do I think the Pointer Sisters needed at least a week of recording sessions to get these parts right?

  • does anyone else remeber this?this is one of the first cartoons i ever remember...im sure if you watch it you will remember it.

  • where are the 2 hands knocking on wood

    and the shadow puppets

  • The absolute funkiest bass line on the planet. Only the best for the best and most respected number. Is Bootsy Collins funkin that up? Or has he not found that funky ball of tits from outer space yet. Thanks Ole Greg!

  • The absolute FUNKIEST way to learn your numbers. Now if only someone could rewrite that awful alphabet song and give it a little flava.

  • I love this!

  • Timeless. I grew up with this stuff, and now my own kids are learning from it.

  • hahaha wasnt this on family guy?

  • @turnitup098 yeah. But this is about as old-school as it gets! Family Guy wasn't even THOUGHT of yet when this was on TV. The good old days!

  • I love this! <3

  • This song is about as funky as a song can possibly be. I'm so glad I got to grow up with this.

  • Great music, great visuals, all while teaching basic counting skills. Why can't Sesame Street be this way now? It's all about the funk!

  • If u pause at :30 u will realise the peramid has an eye.

  • @daughterofkhaos isn't that at :39? i think it's like american dollar

  • yes, and it is said that the dollar has the a picture of the anti christ's eye. you see the bible explanes that the anti christ has only one eye; which is the left eye. This is also a media symbol witch by the way sesame street is a big part of.

  • haha, yea, what verse of the Bible says that? all that matters is if you are saved and following Christ with your whole life. I'm not worried about media. God is in control of that too

  • so trippy. i still love it to this day!

  • every day a new number

  • Absolutely amazing! I'm glad cause my country Spain is represented, with the bullfighter :)

  • I always loved this song as a kid, and i still do as an adult

  • I want this song following me around like a personal soundtrack. ;-) So grateful I was in that first generation to grow up with gems like this.

  • again a nice trip ^^ whats with number 7?

  • Love how the many countries of the world are represented! Plus, groovy graphics to boot! This has always been one of my favorites!

  • For those who are crazy about this tune, Ninjatune licenced the track. It was released on a 12inch b/w Larry Levan's mix of C is for Cookie. It's probably out of print, but I'm sure the determined could dig up a few copies

  • I want the full band sheet music for this stuff... killer to have our jazz band play this!!

  • Man, this was awesome in the day and it's so cool seeing this now! Thanks for sharing it!

  • OMG!! Everyone remembers this, right?? I never knew Pointer Sisters sang this!! Thanks to Sesame Street for posting this video!

  • i am so glad that i grew up on this. nothing tops this, 3-2-1 contact, etc. as an era.

  • This song is the best! I love the part where the long horn blower gets hit with the ball in his horn (it sounds like he got hit in the balls... sevvvvvvvvvvvennnne!

  • I would love to know the band who performed this song or the artists who could write such a "Motown" kinda song!

  • I wish they would still make music like this for children's program.

  • so very cool and very now

  • Pointer sisters are the best!

  • @jeffro1234567891 Are they the musicians that performed this song.

  • this was on family guy. lol

  • OMG!

My mom was crazy about this song when I was watching Sesame Street. She was hooked on this song(:

    Especially the number twelve one(:

    lol.

    the good ol' days...

  • I used to get upset as a kid if an episode of Sesame Street didn't have this.

  • YES THIS ROCKS SO HARD

    SEVEN

  • LOL, me and my cousin still sing this...out of the blue. I miss this alot! If you guys put this on a t-shirt I would wear it!

  • Forgot all about this, too. Makes me want to go back in time and relive my whole life to see all that I've encountered thus far and have unfortunately forgotten about.

  • This was one of my favorite parts of Sesame street as a child.. some 25 years ago. At the time I thought the animation of the pinball was exciting and the music was catchy. Brings back really happy memories.. I still love the song a lot. Ended up majoring and now working in Computer Science, a highly mathematical field.. funny to know it all started with Sesame Street (oh and some awesome parents). Thanks, Sesame Street, for your part. :c)

  • Can anybody tell me who played this amazing groovy tune? Earth Wind & Fire or something?

    :)

  • I don't know who played the tune but it's the pointer sisters singing.

  • Really??? Actually yeah I can hear that.

Why do the ducks under the sun at the end all wear top hats??

  • haha i love sesame street!!!!!

  • 10 years ago, this was great. Now, it still is.
