  • wow seems i was like the only one still using the term athame in the same way.. i think the other way people are pronouncing it more softer sounding is from a newer generation...

  • very nice blade, I think its really cool how its designed to penetrate the spiritual realm, also the appearance is powerful.. very good information

  • Thank you =)

Wait 'til you see my sword.. it'll be in my vid about the Greater Tools *winks*

  • @SybilSilverPhoenix the blade in most cases was named by men. They gave it a feminine type name to represent loved ones or family...If you think about it long enough it makes good sense. I do appreciate your vids and hope you continue someway.

  • Also... Wolf's Fang was a gift my parents got me when I was young since back then I was into learning about my Cherokee heritage.

Native American beliefs and philosophies have been a major keystone to the walking of my own Path. It's complicated and requires much more room than this reply box will allow.

So I may do some vids on it some time though =)

  • @Dracin88 It should be known maybe not the one shown but as the BeyBlade as in the blade of fey or in Nordic tongues Frajja...As per the videoes i support any teachers of the old ways.and wish the best etc.

  • Awesome blade

  • You call your Athame the way I call it. It does give a powerful masculine name. I too see it as a fire element as well as air. Even though some revered it as war, we see it as defense. I'm not sure if you can see my Athame in my videos but it's shown on there.

    Great video and very informative!

    Blessed Be

    )O(

  • MM!! Your video is quite informative for 10 mins. work! Your athame is a very handsome piece, as well. In doing some research, I found that Waite fellow, who created the tarot deck, was a member under Gardner and switched the wand and athame to maintain his oath! Ah-thame works for me, since most dagger work is of a two-stroke motion (mil-vet). I have read in various places that the athame 'should be blooded, even by one drop'. What say ye? Mine is a simple all-black business-like S.A.S. dagger.

  • Hey, great vid! You read my mind, lol... I was planning to make my tool making vid on the athame today. Ah well, we are doing two different aspects, so all is well, yes?

Naruto rocks my socks, and so does your blade.

  • I decided to make these tool vids from the get go, but I have had many response vids and other stuff to talk about before I got to them... I find it very important to discuss and learn about the tools early on. There are so many lessons in each tool that my 10 mins could barely cover only a few of them.

I'll have to check out your vid on the tools when they are done...In the words of Naruto... Believe it!!!! =P

  • This is one of the best teaching videos I've seen regarding ritual tools. That blade is so sexy. *grins*

  • Thank you.

My mom got me that Blade many years ago when I was young. When I started down the Wiccan Path I knew that dagger would be my Athame =)

It's heavy too due to the hilt guard being gold and it surprised me how fast the blessing took and how charged it was. This is truly my most powerful tool to work with and we have been through a great deal together.

And I call him a 'he' for a very definite reason. I'll tell you more about him later =D

  • You're very lucky to have had parents that were supportive of you... And I understand about calling it a "he". *grins*
