so i think if you wanna have a fair truck pull you need to keep in mind the kinda tires you have, weight of the trucks, and if the truck has limited slip open or locked diffs...all of this makes a difference. @FordToughDiesel The new 6.7L Cummins has 350 HP and 850 lb/ft. That means MORE low end torque than the Powerstroke. Also, the I6 has connecting rods and pistons that are about 30% larger than the Power Stroke. The I6 is more balanced, has a more durable bottom end (7 main bearings for 6 cylinders vs 5 main bearings for 8). The I6 also has 40% less moving parts to wear out and break. I'd rather be Cummin' than PowerStroking bro. I've driven Cummins and Powerstroke, both manuals. Cummins wins.
@soxfan901 the powerstroke does have a more power than the cummins, and if it's the new cummins, yeah I know they both have 400 hp and 800 lb ft of torque, but one thing, dodge loses more power before it gets to the wheels than ford ( 389 WHP)and 765 ft lb of torque while the ford manages to keep 790 lb ft of torque at the wheels and 395 hp, and lets also mention that the ford's power is available a 1600 rpm while the dodge is at 1850 rpm,other than that all p strokes have always had more power.

well unfortunatly my dad 96 1500 with the 5.9 magnum gas motor has had 3 trannys in it but now on the 4th he has been pullin a 8500lbs 5th wheel trailer for a couple of years and his truck is bone stock old as fuck only things changed was brake pads and oil changes nothin else and that thing still tows better than my cousins 04 f250 with a similar toy hauler in weight but ball hitch. not hating or nothin but for an old dodge its done more than most others would think about

@Minnie2009100 well it's a matter of personal preference. As far as power is concerned, International Diesels always have had way more power than the Cummins, still true today. Maybe in reliability, the 5.9 was better but the new 6.7 cummins diesel according to consumer reviews are nothing but trouble. Powerstrokes have always made me proud to drive a ford, yes I have a towing company and all my truck have a Powerstroke Diesel, 3 with the 7.3 and 4 with the new 6.7 and I can't complain.

Funny part is, Cummins' i6 has just as much torque and horsepower as a Powerchoke V8. Now, tell me... Does your brother's BMW i6 have a 408 cid, or 800 ft-lbs of torque? Nope. What about a 22,750+ towing capacity? Ahaha- NO. You can't compare some little BMW to a TRUCK that's built for towing, pulling, and power. Extra cylinders arn't what makes a truck, man. @FordToughDiesel 8 smaller cylinders vs 6 larger cylinders, both at 6.7, cummins is 10x more reliable than any powerstroke you will ever find. Better fuel economy, higher tq better gear ratio. This video is showing a stock F350 vs a lifted dodge on low pros, and just in case you dont know, when you lift the truck you lose tons of pulling power, anyone who buys a cummins and lifts it is retarded. its a truck meant for pulling not showing off.

@FordToughDiesel The new 6.7L Cummins has 350 HP and 850 lb/ft. That means MORE low end torque than the Powerstroke. Also, the I6 has connecting rods and pistons that are about 30% larger than the Power Stroke. The I6 is more balanced, has a more durable bottom end (7 main bearings for 6 cylinders vs 5 main bearings for 8). The I6 also has 40% less moving parts to wear out and break. I'd rather be Cummin' than PowerStroking bro. I've driven Cummins and Powerstroke, both manuals. Cummins wins.

@soxfan901 the powerstroke does have a more power than the cummins, and if it's the new cummins, yeah I know they both have 400 hp and 800 lb ft of torque, but one thing, dodge loses more power before it gets to the wheels than ford ( 389 WHP)and 765 ft lb of torque while the ford manages to keep 790 lb ft of torque at the wheels and 395 hp, and lets also mention that the ford's power is available a 1600 rpm while the dodge is at 1850 rpm,other than that all p strokes have always had more power.

well unfortunatly my dad 96 1500 with the 5.9 magnum gas motor has had 3 trannys in it but now on the 4th he has been pullin a 8500lbs 5th wheel trailer for a couple of years and his truck is bone stock old as fuck only things changed was brake pads and oil changes nothin else and that thing still tows better than my cousins 04 f250 with a similar toy hauler in weight but ball hitch. not hating or nothin but for an old dodge its done more than most others would think about

the powerstroke is a Navistar engine. ford don't build that diesel engine.
and without touching ford or dodge, because i like both, cummins engines are way too much better than navistar engines. that's common knowledge.
not even GMC builds the duramax engine.

once we were talking about a '07 F250 Harley Davidson. huge truck. it was diesel.
my friend told us that. he said that ford were using navistar engines. and he told us also that, as a personal experience in his trucks, that navistar engines were not as good as cummins but also he rather using Mercedes Benz diesel.
i didn't know that Ford started to build their own Powerstroke. it's good to know.

@Minnie2009100 well it's a matter of personal preference. As far as power is concerned, International Diesels always have had way more power than the Cummins, still true today. Maybe in reliability, the 5.9 was better but the new 6.7 cummins diesel according to consumer reviews are nothing but trouble. Powerstrokes have always made me proud to drive a ford, yes I have a towing company and all my truck have a Powerstroke Diesel, 3 with the 7.3 and 4 with the new 6.7 and I can't complain.
