thanks, i guess! well the fingers are ok but i was not smooth with fretting when this one was recorded - maybe will re-do it so it'll look much easier (actually there's only one 'trick' part - the start of section 2 just a quick stretch)
@ddanze it was really good, i would like to see another one, maybe including the whole song too? I'm just curious to see what you can do with that 3rd section of the cascading baseline
jeez, i thought you're fingers were going to fall off. The only thing more complicated for your hands to do would be the finger breaker rag (or finger buster) by jelly roll morton. Which on the guitar, could probably actually break your fingers

Oh, "the cascades"... ! I can really feel lots of your effort to complete this difficult tune. Fine and enjoyable... ;-) besides, thanks for your visit at my site and inviting me!

Hi Dave.
Excellent shot, at a very difficult piece to play.

Thanks, but it was arranged by John Knowles who apparantly no longer plays it.
His touch is phenomenal incase you haven't heard him!

It's a Gretsch from the early 1950's.
Gretsch made very few of these round-hole
flattops.
