Hey man!! You have great voice!! I love you for this :))) Eric Carr was (oh no, he IS!!) best... Someone finish his job, it's amazing!!! Thank you.. <3
@myvryn Very interesting to hear vocals on this song after all these years! I presume they were your creation? Loved the running commentary in the video, too! Job well done, bro!
@deuce1231 Thanks for the kind words.. Yeah, the vox/lyrics were my creation as is the horrible guitar solo. (I don't want Bruce taking any blame for it)....
@gingerbread117 Glad you really like it. If you meet Bruce in person, tell him that you really dig my version of this song. See if he even remembers it. It's been a few years. :)
@gingerbread117 !!! lol... Glad to hear that!! I thought you were talking about Eric and saying that you were going to die soon!!! Had me worried there!!!
I'm very happy you like it. You can buy the song without the vocals on Eric's "Rockology" CD. The song isn't for sale with the lyrics, however. When I spoke to Bruce K. about this, I made sure to tell him that I wasn't recording or posting it in order to make money off of it.
Incredible job! I listened to the track on Rockology over and over again when I first bought it. I kept driving around trying to come up with lyrics for it. I've got some but yours are absolutely great!
Thanks, I'm glad you like the song. I "met" Bruce through this song actually. We exchanged a few emails and if I remember correctly, one phone call. I met Eric once after a concert and he was a great guy. So, unfortunately, no, I don't know either of them. I have to say Adam Mitchell (one of the other writers on the tune) is also a really nice guy. After finishing this song, I called him up out of the blue and he spoke to me for about 30 minutes on the phone.
When I say that I met Bruce through this song, I mean that after I recorded the vocals, etc, I got ahold of Adam Mitchell to see what he thought of it. He forwarded it on to Bruce. Bruce later contacted me to tell me that he liked what I'd done with it. I don't mean to imply that I worked with Bruce on the song. (just went back and re-read my reply and realized it could have been interpreted that way)
No. Eric, Bruce Kulick, and Adam Mitchell wrote and performed all the music and released it without lyrics on Eric's "Rockology" CD. I wrote the lyrics and did all the vocals to "finish" the song as a tribute to Eric. The guitar solo at the end is me as well. I wouldn't want to blame that on Bruce.
good try! Make your own songs!
