They're planning on making all of the books, but they're making them in the order that would make sense. Making them in chronological order would be a bad idea. If they had made The Horse and his Boy before Caspian, the actors would have aged too much. Also making the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe first was for publicity reasons mostly.

problem is, my friend, that Lewis created a Masterpiece. I heard someone comparing the same issue with the Harry Potter series...how the production makes cuts and edits the movie based on demografics just to make money rather than respecting someone´s work...but this ain't HP, this is the finest children's colection of all time. Disney should have a bit more respect for it ! The first movie was ok...for the second I now fear !
