  • i downloaded the script normally but when i click ok in the animated fire window, an error popped up writing these:

    "Error while executing script-fu-fire-anim:

Error: Bad syntax of binding spec in let* : ((theSelection) (newImage) (activeLayer) (activeLayerCopy) (activeLayerHolder) (floatingSelection) (activeLayerBlendMode (cond ((equal? blendOpt 0) NORMAL-MODE) ((equal? blendOpt 1) DISSOLVE-MODE) ((equal? blendOpt 2) MULTIal?...." and some more that i can't write..

  • Nope. Any similar program will cost you around 300$.

  • do u know any of the names for these programs?

  • Adobe Aftereffects, though, that's MORE complicated than vegas.

  • rofl rofl gimp is free and it is for pc and mac lol!!!!

  • i'm not talking about gimp i'm talking about iMovie

  • Why do you want to import it? Just use the import button, that should work!

  • u r the gimp master!!

  • I know, right?

    JK

  • i made an awesome picture in gimp but i want it to make it my youtube logo in my viddeos

how could i import it to windows movie maker

  • I hope it's alright for me to answer, GKH.

To my current knowledge, this is what you have to do.

Open your already made image in Gimp. Then go "File"- "Save As".

Now it will go into the files so you can change the name, or save it somewhere else.

Now, at the bottom you should see a little + sign. I can't remember what it says. Click on it, and it will bring down a list of extensions so you can save it in a different format. Now choose "jpeg image".

  • Sorry, went over the limit.

Your image should change from .xcf to .jpeg.

Now, it should be compatible with all the stuff on your PC.

    Hope I helped!

  • It's fine if you answer! Thanks for helping me out.

  • I noticed the World of Warcraft icon on your screen. You play WoW? Awesome. I don't have the money for WoW, but I play guild wars. You should check it out. It is so fun.

  • the link dosent work it says that it is corrupted when i try to open it with winrar

  • uhhh i am alittle confused i am not sure if i am doing it right because i am not sure if you have to make the animated fire... because i am making it.... or was making it but i am alittle confused and cannot get any farther then where i am... can you please help

  • Im not sure how to download the fire animation. When i try opening it, it says it can't what's the procedure of dowloading it?

  • See my putting extras into Gimp Tutorial.

You can't open Script-Fu's. YOu have to save them in Gimp's program files.

  • that explains it. Oh and lol that was a really fast respond.

  • And why not just use Control, X to cut.

  • Now I know I may sound a little mad at nothing but I just want to get this off my mind (Which I am not mad anyway), why does everyone use cut? Cut is copying but it deletes the original, so you can paste it else where. Using clear is equal to delete though. Okay I am done, back to the topic, I loved it 5/5!

  • I explained why I used cut. On a mac, gimp runs through X11, which is a program that lets macs run Linux applications. As of now, gimp is not native to OS X. This means that any shortcuts I use: Ctrl+C ect. Do not work on gimp. This is why I can't just press delete. I am aware cut copies. Glad you liked it!

  • As I explained before, Gimp on a mac does NOT support keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl+X is a shortcut. The delete key is (Technically) a shortcut.

  • why not use a gimp version made for the mac instead of running a linux version?

  • Nevermind I just took a look and you need x11. Sorry, about that.

  • Sometimes, I imagine what life would be like w/o GIMP... *shiver*

  • I lol'd.

It truly would be a bleak place...

  • wouldn't it be faster to make a script for the cutting?

  • And learn code?

If you can write a script, by all means, do so.

  • nice

  • Nice tutorial. Also, gratz on the 700 subs.

  • Very nice. It is realistic. Cheers.

  • do you have a mac or osx? cuz i have xp and i love gimp!!!!

  • I have OSX.

  • w000, i missed your tutorials mate, i think you should make some more on animating on gimp etc.
