The sad thing is, most people have heard of Chernobyl and Pripyat via Call of Duty. Personally i think this is the worst thing to have ever happened, not because of the death toll but Pripyat used to be a beautiful city, and these images are worrying to think that someday this could happen to any of us, abandoning our homes and then 20, 30 years later looking at images of our own city in ruin. Respect for the people who died.
Waw, it's really cool to think that the developers of COD got certain parts of chenobyl just like the pictures in this video, feels like a tribute to all those who died, cod was a good game (until the mw's released..)
yes, there very much so is enough to wipe Europe out. late reply I know, but think of it this way, why haven't people populated the surrounding areas yet?
To all you people arguing, I myself immediately recognized things from EVERY SINGLE IMAGE as things/scenes from call of duty 4. It is very obvious that the buildings from cod4 are based on the real thing! I was stunned!

@EMERALDanimations We know it has all happend, but what gamestesters1234 is trying to say that he recognizes these landmarks, in detail because of the game... The game was so reallistic, that even i want to take a trip over there. Just to pay my respects to the people who died in that disaster and to see for myself, what kind o damage, the whole disaster made. It doesn't matter how u find out about this disaster, it's how u respect it, u don't know hoe he respects it, just ask him that!
I watched a documentry in English Class just like this. and In this video I noticed 2 things from CoD4 first of all in the description it says 50,000 people use to live here, no its a ghost town, and at 0:38 that ferris wheel is basicly the same one from cod 4.
@brandonjeremy1 You do know how hard you failed right? Cod 4 based a few levels off of REAL places in Pripyat, Ukaraine. These pictures are those REAL places, none from cod 4. Over 200,000 people got evacuated from there homes and most permanently. Get out a little bit dude and think before you comment on one of the worst disasters in our world's history.
Can people stop taking lines from crappy videogames and putting them to context of a real event! Chernobyl really happened, it's not to be taken into context with videogames.

Due to the half life of the radioactive fallout of the reactor, they say Chernobyl will be a continuing disaster for at least the next 500 years. To make matters worse, the radioactive particles from it and many other nuclear accidents, dumps, and test sites around Russia continue to spread.
" The World " was at it's lowest point? Sept. 11th, 2001 was like... fucking Jihad Orgasm Day... So I guess you can't really say the whole world was at the lowest when that happened, although the Jihad's and there shitty 3rd world countries don't technically count as part of the world. kthxbai.

@EMERALDanimations You uhh,
Ok
The people are simply saying that
The pictures remind them of the level Bloc
Which is, in fact, based off of the area depicted in some of these photos.
The ferris wheel, the drained pool, the hotels
The game means more to me on a deeper level, just to know that the people actually researched some of this.
I'd post more, but

Due to the half life of the radioactive fallout of the reactor, they say Chernobyl will be a continuing disaster for at least the next 500 years. To make matters worse, the radioactive particles from it and many other nuclear accidents, dumps, and test sites around Russia continue to spread.

Man, that sucks. A 250 year half-life, so that means it'll only be safe in 2500.... man.

" The World " was at it's lowest point? Sept. 11th, 2001 was like... fucking Jihad Orgasm Day... So I guess you can't really say the whole world was at the lowest when that happened, although the Jihad's and there shitty 3rd world countries don't technically count as part of the world. kthxbai.
