  • Great cover of my favorite song from Exile. The Stones were a depraved, defiant bunch who didn't give a shit about anything but the music when they recorded this in 1970-71,much of it in Mussel Shoals,Alabama.I think that's why the Crowes love it.

  • Sounds so good!!! Love it when these guy's cover the Stones!!!!

  • @vasilmaxkarl Yup. They're guzzling that Haterade!

  • Damn, he sings it better than Mick!

  • I am STILL waiting for this cover to come out for download. I have a feeling this concert /song will be released as a CD for their final tour.

  • q putas yeahhhhhhhh

  • sweet! thanks, godlike!

  • You folks talking bout The Crowes and the Mic Taylor Stones are on the money. Definitely in my top 5 of all time.

  • Rich looks like Eddie Vedder in the photo @ the beginning

  • Love the song, love this cover of the tune, love The Crowes, love The Stones, but I drink my drink from the bottle, ha!

  • 08/06/2005? Where can I find this !?

  • love this version, but I still think the one with jack white is the best, even better then the original. I hate the phish version tho, but then again I hate phish with a passion that burns more then 1000 suns.

  • Phish sucks, that is all.

  • @sevinvega you are an idiot!

  • Great tune, definitely one of my top five favorites from The Stones. Wonderful job by The Crowes covering this tune! Chris does an outstanding job singing. Cheers!

  • Great job. I heard Phish do it too and was diappointed. This better than even The Stones do it live.

  • @andy65guitar you must of not been listening ....

  • @Manu112345 Why? My opinion may not be the same as yours but I LOVE The STones and they haven't done it well live, well, ever that I have heard. Phish did a decent job but itwasn't as good as this version. That is my opinion. I play this song all the time so to say that I must not have been listening is an insult!

  • The Crowes are the only band I really like to hear covering the Stones.

  • gran cover

  • thats how you cover the stones!

  • @EzyRider1000 I like phish version it is one of my favorite phish covers !! Check it

  • Beautiful....bummed its not on the release of Freak N Roll gota be some kinda flap between labels or something...

  • @EzyRider1000 To each his own man. Thats why music rules. I like the Let It Bleed version better because I think the stones were/are at their best when Keith is in charge rather than Mick. The '69 version is a veritable guitar showcase of open G tuning at its best, and is pure Keith Richards. The piano intro on the older version is more subtle, but yeah, both are fantastic and exile is perhaps the best record ever made imho.

  • They should play together. Both are great!!

  • Holy shit! Saw the crowes Live 10 times. Never got to hear this...Bloody AWESOME! The Crowes friggin ROCK!!!

  • damn good love these guys. both them and phish nail this cover better than any ive heard....

  • Great! These are "the rolling crowes"!

  • Great! These are "the rolling crowes"!

  • gimme little drank. from your loving cup, just one drank, and i fall down drunk!!!!!!!

  • love both stone & the crow..

  • I am a huge Black Crowes fan and they do a fantastic job putting their own flavor to any cover they perform while staying respectful to the original artists.

  • Excellent and respectful cover.

  • @themrzanardi haha yea your totally right dude

  • This is fukn fantastic. Love the horns, wish they had brass more often, huge fan and seen many shows, but never with the brass. Crowes do everything perfect.

  • G-damn, that was amazing.

  • oh my god!i have tears in my eyes.one of my favorite stones song from one of the best bands ever.i wonder where you can buy this?

  • @CHRIS416CHRIS Not sure you can--only time they ever played it--recorded on Freak N Roll Nite for CD and DVD release--this song was scratched from both media apparently--

Look at notes on Crowesbase 8-6-2005--vague about scratch from DVD--hmm...hope you find it--

  • Beautiful rendition. So much raw emotion in Chris's vocs.

  • @keyboardwhiz I really wish they would have played a cover of the far better arrangement of this song that wasn't released but was recorded during the Let It Bleed sessions in 1969. That one is far more gritty and "stones" sounding than the disco version on Mainstreet. This kicks ass though. These guys are as close to the Stones of 1969 as we will ever get these days.

  • @cgraber I also love the 69 session meeting, but I just hear anything "disco" about the Exile version. Miss You or Emotional Rescue are disco tunes, this is a bluesy rock and roll song to my my ears! But hey, like any artform, everyone hears or sees something a little different.

  • wow...this is really good!

  • God I fuckin love this song. Great cover. Phish, Jack White and even Jason Mraz versions are good too.

  • @wuffthegreat89 Well said !! It is true !!

  • It may be desecrating other bands, but generally speaking, the Crowes covering anything makes it better in my opinion (no disrespect to The Stones, Dylan, Zep, etc)

  • @TheMrZanardi well each to their own mate..but no

  • WOW one of my favorite songs and I finally got to here it from my FAVORITE BAND!!!! Thanx for posting!!

    PEACE

  • Eddie is all over this one

  • great song...great job on the video...
