China has changed alot since 1989. In hindsight, it was naive of the students to force the hand of the government. China had just started reforming for a 10 years and they students wanted a democratic government of a developed country, yeah right. They also have QQ, which is a chinese messenger program. And of course there is taobao, which is the chinese eBay. You see, this way, "unwanted" information is kept outside China.

China has changed alot since 1989. In hindsight, it was naive of the students to force the hand of the government. China had just started reforming for a 10 years and they students wanted a democratic government of a developed country, yeah right. Just look at the chaos in india to get a good idea of what 1.3 billion people all wanting different things will accomplish....NOTHING! China is a much different place now and will be unrecognizable by 2025. This was a good lesson for both sides.

U missunderstood me. The chinese have greatly been affected this episode in their history and both sides I believe have learned from this tragedy. They cannot change this blot in their development and will slowly accept the reality. However by 2025 china will have opened even more with the consequences of bringing in different people who come with diffferent ideas. Give the chinese a chance.
