True, but America isn't the stereotypical female lead in any show. YOu can't see her rib cage or spine... I suppose they could have cast a truly "ugly" actress. Any suggestions for the role? I'm not disagreeing. I'm just pleased with the show. My comment was directed at the exposure and power that computer touch ups actually have in visual media.

Are you joking me? America has a gorgeous face but she's not your typical anorexic looking actress. That's what makes her even more fabulous than she already is. She's more atypical than you think. In Hollywood they never care for just a pretty face. So in essence, it is not contradicting the overall message. Casting someone like maybe Lacey Chabert would probably be contradicting the message.
