Please. finish this game - it looks great. I played it a thousand times on Atari and i love it... It has a good potential especially when some new ideas will be added. I have some in mind...
I do definetly plan to finish this game sometime (perhaps next year??). Ive learnt a lot about programming over 2010 so I can apply it all to this once I get back to it. I also used to play it a lot, one of my first games. Let me know your ideas if you want. Im always up for hearing what other people would do, even tho I have a good idea of where I want my version to go.
@DreadKnight666 The glowing effect is just 2 planes with the sparkle texture alpha mapped onto them, their parented to the crystal object, one set to billboard so it makes the crystal look like its shining from all angles, and another just parented to the bottom of the crystal so that it looks like a shiny effect on the ground. Then when the crystal itself is added with the object actuator the 2 child objects (the planes) come along with it as well. And I agree that it looks pretty nice :)
Love the commodore 64, the Tandy TRS-80 was my first so called "computer" but by far the commodore 64 was my favorite yet second computer. It still is my favorite... Love the commodore!
very cool, i especially like the walking animation, and the fact that you can adjust the graphics settings in realtime (no making different executables for each graphic option) may i ask how you did that? for the realtime shadows i mean, turning off the filters would be no problem.
I used the global dictonary now in the BGE, its a new feature. It lets you save values into it and then recall them even when youve changed scenes. So then in the menu when you run the game it saves all your settings.
For example if it saves the graphics on high in the main menu then when the level loads it will load everything in high quality and so on.
Bit hard to pick a genre, but think about it as a 3rd person adventure game where you travel around to different train stations which in the end become infected with a disease. You have to fight the disease in train stations all over the world (to stop it spreading everywhere)
Well there will be ~200 train stations to travel to. Each one will sound unique and look somewhat different. I will load variables in from a script to load the train stations differently for each place, so each station will have its own script to run from.
I have the game on my page for download.

I like glowing of the crystals. How did you made that glowing effect? One png texture as a halo and another projected on the floor or how exactly? :D

@ADEdge Oh right, billboard, not halo xD
Cheers! I'll have to consider them more often for glowing effects and such, they really bring in the eye-candy factor.

@DreadKnight666 Yeh they sure do. And I think halo would work ok as well.

Nice work!!! Would like to see overhead view zoomed out more to reveal the whole room, like in the original. For nostalgia gameplay.

Make sure there's one in Ireland xD. This looks unreal. I'd love to see more or even do some modeling. I really like this project.

That was amazing. Apart from the hat on legs, next time make the character a sexy pixelated woman.
