lol @ the dude behind him! Simon and garfunkel drummer! Btw, other than the actual dissonant inharmonics, I believe the small changes in trills and grace notes were entirely on purpose. It was like a little weak improvisation. He was nervous though, for sure. I've been playing forever and I would shit myself on stage if I had to do this. I can play perfectly when there isn't a crowd, but I'm almost entirely sure those trills and grace notes were on purpose.

Not to get all technical and douchy about it, but it's not a trumpet. that is a rotary valve flugelhorn, mah boy! A trumpet even if it was played to the side would have the valve keys as just little completely circular button like keys, and they would be parallel with him, not perpendicular. And a trumpet is slightly bigger, and has a different tone. Wow, I'm coming off as such an asshole.

There's rotary valve trumpets, usually keyed in C. They're played by the berlin and (I think) the vienna philharmonic. That's definitely a trumpet, a flugal horn is way deeper. I think he ALSO plays a flugel horn, but I'm pretty sure it's trumpet here.

Flugelhorn isn't that deep. I don't know, the sound is pretty fat or mellow to me. I'm certain the flugelhorn could reach that in it's higher register. I have to disagree. Unless the tone is also kinda warped because my speakers are having issues, I'm defenitely on the fence.

@RarDragon I'm positive that's his flugelhorn, the mouthpiece is very conical unlike a trumpets, the size of the bell is bigger than a trumpets and the bore extends like a flugelhorns. It also sounds way darker than a trumpet.
