i really like licence to kill but i think dalton's second bond film shouldve been a dark romance more like from russia with love - still the same setup as Licence with betrayal , bond on his own etc - but leave the south american setting for his possible third film . Have some link to Living daylights and a possible link to the third film - have a loose trilogy
I love how John can capture the essence of Bond immediately. How he shows Bond to be patriot that he is. Again...immediately he captues the essence of Bond. What a real pleasure. He so gifted.
I love james bond movies. James Bond was a great run from The Living Daylights till The world is not enough. Had a slight slump with Die another day (though there have been worse bond films), then has stayed great again with Casino Royale and Guantum of Solace.
Probably the best arrangement of the Bond theme... definitely the best at-least-partially-electronic arrangement (though Exercise at Gibraltar makes the Bond theme more obvious).
Out of all the arrangements only Barry's pure symphonic arrangement runs it close.
this was the shit

Time and time again, I always think this would've been good for the tank chase in Goldeneye.

This is a bit neo yet it has the true presence of Bond.

LOVED this film, LOVED the soundtrack! Too bad it was John Barry's last score he'd ever do for a Bond film.
At least he went out on a High! This was his best 007 soundtrack since OHMSS!

This scene begins with the "salt corrosion"/laser. Then Dalton / Bond shows off his few "extra accessories". Too funny.

excellent, John Barry knew how to fuse the classic Bond Theme with modern sounds and arrangements of the day to best effect, thanks for posting

John Barry is the best choice of composers to make a score to any movie. We need him again for his last and biggest contribution in the series.
