Hayate = Ein. He caught a case of amnesia and wound up in Germany where Hitomi's father (Karate Dojo owner) taught him the way of KARATAY and he trained with her, too. He got his memory back and went to his roots of Ninjitsu. Same person, no spoilers. Had ya'll played the games instead of listening to music alone (Music is great don't get me wrong) this would be clear as day.

So three girls chase Hayate/Ein. Ayane and Kasumi respectively, and Hitomi wants him for babies most likely :D

there was a shinobi by the name of raido from the tenshen mugen clan that raped ayanes mother

and ayane and kasumi are half siblings being that hayate is kasumis brother and hayate and ayane are not related alot of people thought this btw i hear hayate might be playable 4 sigma 3 coming sopposedly in june

@greendagger87 Um, I hate to ruin theory, but Raidou is Kasumi and Hayate's uncle, and he raped their mother, who gave birth to Ayane, making Ayane Kasumi AND Hayate's half-sister+cousin. Because they share a mother. This is cited everywhere on the internet and is actually said in DOA Dimensions, by both Ayame (the mother) and HAYATE himself when he stops Brad Wong from groping Ayane saying "Hey, that's my sister" so they are related, two ways.

@alicecullen222 acully i messed up its not a theory i read this online he was sopped to be the original leader of the tenshin mugen clan and died after doa 2 kasumi was chosen yet she became a rouge then ayane was chosen and she refused so hayate took her place as he was appointed

by ayane makes sense being him and ryuhayabsa are best friend my point is raido caused alot of choas among the mugen clan

Hi@lolzpeace: It's somewhat implied Hitomi does have romantic feelings for Ein, though beyond DoA3 Ein doesn't really make any appearances within the franchise as Hayate's personality is the dominant one. Ein's appearance within 4 wasn't really canon with that said, (it didn't belong to the actual storyline) but even then Hitomi's motivation for seeking him out wasn't because she "loved him" but because she needed him to help save her father's failing dojo.

Same person but different in a way.Ein was the name used when Hayate couldn't remember who he was.He studied karate with Hitomi.Hayate is the bad ass ninja brother of Ayane and Kasumi.Hayate would have to be my favorite male character.He actually is.Hayate rocks.

Yeah DoATEC had experimented on him much as they did with Kasumi to create Alpha, though their experiments on him failed and just caused him to get amnesia... After that happened they abandoned him in the German Black Forest I believe, and then he was recovered by Hitomi and/or her father, and the latter taught him karate (which he mastered within an incredibly short time due to his former ninja mastery, and that's also why Hitomi kind of defers to him). Just to be a bit more in-depth :-P.

@Alesky76 ...and with that all said, Ein's parts in people's storylines are completely different from those of Hayate's. I believed for a while that Ein was a failed clone. But now that I think about it, Hitomi fought Hayate in DoA3, and called him Ein. And he answered and responded to it with memory, which he did get back in DOA 2 after he fought Ryu, Kasumi, and Tengu. Speaking of, Tengu is SUCH a waste of coding in those games. he sucks in two and four...
