  • am i the only one who thinks Lucifer looks like Furude Rika from Higurashi?

  • were can i download this song

  • Krauss looks like skeletor while Natsuhi looks like JLo

  • I'm glad that they put the names in Kanji cause it's so much easier to translate hidden meanings. @ 1:12 the kanji for

    Ma = True

    Ri = Hometown

    A = Asia.

The epitaph speaks of beatrice's hometown. I have no clue what sweetfish means tho =/

  • wow,i had no idea that Maria's hidden meaning was that!I only looked at the latin menaing where it means "bitter".

  • that's actually pretty good. I didn't know that either cause she is defintiely bitter toward her mother. Knowing that she is bitter could be a clue to finding the culprit.

  • Also:

    Beatrice-voyager through life

    Ange-Angel(obviously)

    Erika-Eternal Ruler

I'll work on the other names.

  • holy shiznac I didn't know erika equaled that x__x Beatrice lead dante to heaven but the first during the comedia she wasn't a witch o_o

  • yep,and yes, that Beatrice was just a woman. However,Ryukishi would have done gone good to make a dante reference somewhere along the road.

  • well if a "dante" showed up it would kill all the fangirl's fanfic pairing of beatoxbattler and be completely anticlimatic to have someone you've hated and then loved only to be taken away and left with a ho hum ending.

I've always thought that Dante = Battler. Mostly cause Dante's name meaning means Enduring or lasting which is kind of what battler means. Well abstractly anyway since a battler doesn't seem to stop battling x__x

  • I already knew Battler was a "Dante"Just thought he coul;d've made a reference besides his name >.>

  • oh =/ I guess so but just out of curiousity, do you think metaliterature such as this VN because it's foundation is from The divine comedy could become a classic on it's own merit?

  • Could you rephrase,I don't nderstand the question.

  • in layman's terms, can a visual novel based on somebody else's literature become a classic in it's own respect.

  • Meh......yeah.ryukishi only got the inspiration for three characters, not the entire cast.

  • Also Virgillia is reference to Virgil, the poet who lead Dante through Hell to find his darling,Beatrice XD

  • @nyuurocks The whole series is a reference to The Divine Comedy.

  • wtf is this..

    sounds kool tho lol

  • a music video to Umineko no naku koro ni that contains what happaned from episode 1-4

  • Bitchen tune...pretty cool...and how i came to find this is still a mystery to me...lol!

  • i dunno how i found this either... think it was on my rocommended for you thing... or maybe it was magic

  • What I find cool about this song is that the verses fit each of the previous chapters of the novel. So no matter what chapter is being displayed the song lyrics fit it.

  • Nice. I only now noticed this one. You did a good job. ^o^ How did you make the annotation boxes blend in so well? I'd like to be able to make the changes to my vids, if that's okay. I promise to credit you!

  • Actually, I made a few references to your translation too... (it is quite obvious if you compare the two) I only made a few edits as time went by as I felt that some parts were wrong... But sure, feel free to use anything! ^^

  • Okay, so how did you go about making the annotation boxes blend in? You made them quasi-transparent most of the time.

  • Well, it will happen when you change the color... If you want it to be 'transparent', you use black. I just use the colors that seems to fit the text that it represents.

  • Wergilia is how you say her name in Japanese.

  • Yeah... Just like how Enjye is for Ange... However, I remember that in some UMGs beforehand it was spelt correctly as 'Vergilia'... Or did I remember wrongly...?

  • *Virgilia

Sorry. The spelling is just confusing. =.=

  • No, Warugiria - ワルギリア

  • Warugiria doesn't work because you can't do a literal romanji translation for foreign names.

For example, my name is Chris, but since Japanese doesn't contain some of those sounds it is spelled クリス (kurisu).

So we have to defer to the historical name Virgilia when spelling it with the alphabet.

  • Yes, however, I simply said that that's how her name is spelt in katakana. I know her "normal" name is Virgillia, but it's spelled Warugiria when written with kana :)

  • i love pocky too =w=

  • Is it just me or is the translation gone? o_o

  • S***. YouTube has done it AGAIN. Man. Sorry, I'll try and get it up ASAP... But it will take time. Sorry.

P.S. Anyone mind helping me send a complain to YouTube? I can't find their e-mail. Thanks.

  • i dont know if anyone noticed or not but at 2:36 its vergilia not wergilia

  • I did. Originally, I put up a note there saying that they messed up Virgilia's name, but over time it seemed irritating, so I deleted it.

  • Say... can you put your lryics within a site with both langueges? I don'tr care where... like LiveJournel or something!!! Please :)

  • Sure, but maybe a few weeks later... I have exams now, so I need to do a lot of revisions...

Plus, I'm still looking for the kanji lyrics. I'm lazy to type them out...

  • Link added in the description... Please check.

  • thank you.

  • *spoilers ahead* Ushiromiya Ange is Battler's half-sister, the daughter of Rudolf and Kyrie. Sakutaro is a furniture made by Rosa / Maria, and was 'killed' by Rosa, but Ange later revived him. And that Okonogi guy is NOT from Higurashi, but is is just some guy with the same character design and name. Maybe a homage like Furudo Erika. Amakusa Juza is an agent who works under Eva, but helps Ange despite that. With all these questions, I suppose you haven't read EP4 yet?

  • who`s Kasumi Sumadera?i don`t completely get who Ange Ushiromiya is.Sakutaro is a stuffed animal Rosa made but...whoa is that okonogi(higurashi)?!

  • Many thanks for the English Translation.

  • From all the fans of Umineko!

  • could you also add the lyrics translation?

  • Maybe. I'll see.

  • Lyrics added... Mostly taken from Koishiteruyo's video... But there is still one line untranslated though... Anyone knows?
