  • so much class in one room...

  • Fantastic jam, but how did they get Sam Bush to sit still?

  • yowza!

    nuff said

  • haha! Did anyone notice how Edgar Myer uses his nose grease at 2:58 to lubricate his fingers?

  • that upright bass player literally makes his instrument speak

  • TALK ABOUT A SUPER GROUP

  • edgar meyer! hHAH

  • Sweet music to my ears- thanks for posting this! Nice to see Buddy and the rest of the talent! LOL on the discard of the bow used on the bass!

  • Whose car was that in the end ? Bonnie thought it was the bassman's . lol

  • This was obviously recorded...anyone know where this and it's other friends might be?

  • mmmmmm

  • So nice music, first time I saw Edgar live, great. Very good musicians and they improwise. I love it

  • Now that's music, I really dug that, I can listen to this kind of stuff all day

  • Love when Edgar drops his bow on the floor .Chill with skill to the max.@3:32

  • These guys are the best of the best!

  • Where did this clip from as it sounded like a very English sounding voice over

  • I think that's Edgar Meyer on bass. This is awesome stuff bah.

  • sam bush /mandoln

    mark o'connor /fiddle

    jerry couglas /dobro

    buddy emmons on steel

Waddaya mean "no emotion"? Because they don't grimace and make faces like the phony rock jocks? It's MUSIC and those guys are about as good as it gets on their respective instruments.

  • Love it!! thanks for posting

  • hahahaha 3:55 wtf was that?!?!? what's the mandolin player's name? not david grissman... I'm sure I've seen him play with tony rice, banging his head like he's rocking out as a phish concert!!!

  • @mightyafrowhitey As noted in the "tags" section, the mandolin player is the one and only Sam Bush. BTW, did you notice that the producer has the good manners not to include a banjo in this session?

  • @RickRiman thank you. I always forget his name for some reason. and lol about the banjo player. I'm kinda surprised not to see Bela on there actually. but yea, banjo + jazz isn't exactly the greatest combo in the world.

  • the "no emotion" comment baffles me too. sure these guys are amazing technical players, they wouldn't be some of the top session musicians in the country if they weren't. give 'em jazz, blues, country, bluegrass.... whatever you wanna call it I like it!!! but if this music doesn't ozze emotion, I don't really know what does.

  • Emmons is the man!

  • what you mean no emotion? theses guys have improvisational freedom theres nothing but emotion to me anyways.

  • Love the bass solo. Very creative. And buddy looks so young !

  • Cold. These guys are "beyond blues" nicely technical, no real emotion.

  • I don't know, to me this oozes emotion!

  • OMG, the part at 3:55 just blew my mind into shards.

  • OMG!!!!

There isn't anyone like Buddy Emmons

  • Look at douglas how much he uses his thumb!!!!! damn

  • That's Mark O'Conner on fiddle and my friend, the Big E on Steel. Yippee

    Bill Ferguson

  • What could I say about these fantastic musicians, that hasn't been said yet?

    Five million of stars.

    Adair Torres

  • absolutely five stars!!

  • Thanks for posting this video...Nice to see all these great players together.

    RC
