Sneaker Pimps were great with both Kelli and Chris, every album is awesome in its own right.
Chris' solo work (IAMX) is a whole new animal, raw and incredible. Hoping to see him live for the 4th time on the upcoming US tour. Outstanding stuff.
I know Chris Corner have always been the genius behind Sneaker Pimps as far as songwriting goes, but still I have to say Kelli did a much better work with the vocals. Her voice was a key part in the essence of Corner's music. His voice, on the other hand, it's very average (and even a little fake) if compared to Kelly's.

Having gotten into the Sneaker Pimps after Chris took over singing and going back to buy the 1st album to hear Kelli singing (and not being fond of her at all), meant I seldom listened to their 1st album. Haring this makes wish even more that Chris had sang on that record. I for one am glad they ditched her as their sound just got better and better, especially with Chris's progression into IAmX. I'd vote for a re-recording of the 1st record! Maybe that's just me.

This is what the song would have been. Kelli Dayton (Ali) was an addition for the groups popular debut. Originaly she was not in the band. That said she DID bring something to becomingX. In actuality may have been the reason for thier intitail success. Not to say the Sneaker Pimps have definitely earned thier place exclusively in thier present form. Albiet not nearly so here stateside (for the reccord I wish that wasn't so). I can honestly say this stands with any of the originals.

Get over Kelli you fags. Chris Corner is a 10 times better musician then that bitch AND he is way more successful. She was nothing but a voice, and couldnt contribute much to the group so LET GO. Besides she looks a hannah montana with short hair and canine teeth. Where is kelli today? I'll tell you.. NO fucking where.

I think Kelli looks horrible here in this video personally. She obviously isnt aging well. Her voice is lower than normal, she dances spastically, something I dont remember from years past. But i like her lighter hair color. Face is gettin warn hard, might want to consider more sunblock Kelli. My advice, stop losing weight, you look gaunt here too, pick up a few pounds and stop smoking, dont give up, it will get better....

chances are she has no other skills than her voice, and most likely is not much of a team player.
from reading around, it seemed like that was the biggest problem the group had with her, she was in it for the spotlight glory while the rest of them were in it to make music.
she should just become a Suicide Girl and please all of her 'fans' for 4$ a month.

Sneaker Pimps were great with both Kelli and Chris, every album is awesome in its own right.
Chris' solo work (IAMX) is a whole new animal, raw and incredible. Hoping to see him live for the 4th time on the upcoming US tour. Outstanding stuff.

I know Chris Corner have always been the genius behind Sneaker Pimps as far as songwriting goes, but still I have to say Kelli did a much better work with the vocals. Her voice was a key part in the essence of Corner's music. His voice, on the other hand, it's very average (and even a little fake) if compared to Kelly's.

Wow, cheers for posting this! Having gotten into the Sneaker Pimps after Chris took over singing and going back to buy the 1st album to hear Kelli singing (and not being fond of her at all), meant I seldom listened to their 1st album. Haring this makes wish even more that Chris had sang on that record. I for one am glad they ditched her as their sound just got better and better, especially with Chris's progression into IAmX. I'd vote for a re-recording of the 1st record! Maybe that's just me.

I would absolutely love a re-recording of Becoming X with Chris on vocal duties...I was into the Pimps before they got rid of Kelli, and I do like her singing, but Chris puts so much more emotion and feeling into the songs that he is far and away a better vocalist for those tracks.

This is what the song would have been. Kelli Dayton (Ali) was an addition for the groups popular debut. Originaly she was not in the band. That said she DID bring something to becomingX. In actuality may have been the reason for thier intitail success. Not to say the Sneaker Pimps have definitely earned thier place exclusively in thier present form. Albiet not nearly so here stateside (for the reccord I wish that wasn't so). I can honestly say this stands with any of the originals.
