  • Very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @VRGrass Thank you!

  • nice guitar gandpa and playing great tone

  • Wow thats sounds great! I hope to make a guitar someday.

  • Thanks. I was lucky my dad was up for the build.

  • 15 years ago I started building the same way-- for my son,as he played better I built better. I still have a passion for building . great job and wonderful documentary

  • Thanks. My dad was amazed at the quality we achieved. The guitar he made for me is the best guitar I've ever played. I love it.

  • Amazing!

  • awesome guitar, very cool. the only thing i wouldve suggested is to sculpt the body around the neck plate so that the neck plate is level with the body.

  • Thanks! If we had done that we would have reduced the mass around the neck joint. This is a heavy beast, and sounds amazing. It is the best guitar I've played, and all the wee elements go together to make something special. Sculpting the back to suit the neck plate was an option, as was angling the neck plate to allow the body to be shaved rather than sculpted, but we decided to retain as much wood as we possibly could. The body is 52mm of solid mahogany. No compromises!

  • Sounds very Dio'ish to me.

    8)

  • In a good way?

  • Is there any bad Dio?;)

  • Let me think........ Shit! I get you!

  • nice guitar sound. awesome that its custom

  • i wish i had a dad that helped me make a guitar you are one lucky man great guitar the only thing that was odd to me was that the bolt on plate for the neck sat way passed the body haha funy but hey that thing sounds great good job man

  • Insetting the neck plate helps to retain mass where it is needed most. I seldom have problems with the neck heel, because i don't play fast up there! But yeah, it looks kida strange!

  • i did ur mom

    jk

    play some marley plz

  • your mom

  • lol

  • why dont you want one?

  • What would I do with it?

  • do u have a record contract?

  • NO! And I don't want one!

  • This thing had to be a heavyweight. What was the final weight with all the parts?

  • Nine pounds and two ounces. A big baby!

  • We do also have a volume control ;)

  • Hey nice guitar. Me and my dad are coming close to finishing our own one! It's essentually a Gibson style flying V with a ibanez neck and a single seymour duncan sh-6 humbucker in the bridge. oh-and a killswitch in it.

Also, stole your blend control ;D

  • The blend control is strange. You get a certain point where the phase cancels out generating a thin sound, and for stage work you really need a volume circuit! Good luck!

  • very well donw ;) was that renetto stuff real? or was it all to get u more shine... i dunno, id love to stand beside u on this one but things are changeing so fast i have a hard time keeping up

  • 100% real. I was angry and confused, but now I'm not, and everyone now knows what went on with the great "future of youtube" debate. I think that was worthwhile.......

  • This is a gr8 improv,it reminds me of the band Tool.

  • The sound at the start is amazing, kinda peaceful, but also a bit eerie. Its incredibly cool, but i personal would go with some humbuckers ;). I would so love to build a guitar with my dad someday.

  • I appreciate your guitar work very much..Thanks for posting your music. Sounds fantastic !!!! Im a new subscriber....

  • Sounds great! How does it play?

Does it feel different that your other guitars?

  • wee bitty Marillionesque - the misplaced childhood?

  • That was savage, so glad I subscribed

  • You are a master at what you do.

Oh and I am very sober :)

  • very cool, reminds me of "PINK FLOYDS" best stuff, hey about "PURPLE PERI" for the name for your new band, and the guitar sounds good form here, SEATTLE WASH.
