This presents problem for most defensive player.

Its not about Joo having a bad day imo. Procopkov played a good game and maybe Joo is not that much used to hit attacks.. Probably..

I see now. His game against the very similar Chtchetinine has obviously given him good skills against choppers. The only difference between Joo and Chtchetinine is the latter doesn't hit very often. But somebody commented he must be Joo's European father. Maybe he was coaching Prokopcov.

When I first saw this match, the full version, I was amazed. Huge backspin serves in the beginning, huge spin on opening back- and forehand loops (often setting up a pop-up), and then, just...BANG!! It's gone!

Nobody, even the Chinese, could do any one of those three skills with such consistency. And his touch-shots were excellent.

Yeah, his shouts were intimidating, but he was much quieter at the start and still Joo was completely confused. He was playing well enough.

Prokopcov played very much like a Ma Long (of course not at his real level) but still, some very interesting FH shots, its a shame that from this camara angle I cant really judge if JSH´s chopped balls were high enough for him to strike that easily.
