If it was a 1928 thompson the charging handle would be on the top. If it was an M1 or M1A1 thompson it wouldn't be able to accept drum magazines and it would have the triangle sights. in addition the stock would have a curve where the top meets the metal. so in actuality no gun in the world ever looked like this. i mean how hard is it to do some research?

i have a few questions pertaining this gun.

First, what do you mean by self winding? i have to wind mine quite frequently and once there is only one whole clip full (no more in the resevoir/ drum whatever) it won't load the bb's or fire them.

Second, i'm having some issues with the battery rattling around in the stock, any suggestions? the manual it came with was less than helpful.

And last the barrel of my gun arrived slightly loose and the screws will not screw in any more. What to do?

@Gypsyblood777 You have to wind it to bring the bbs to the reciever. You might want to purchase a stick mag. though 'cause I hear they work better than the drum. The battery is just gonna rattle no matter what. The barrel is lose on all the other airsoft m1928's.  You just have to tighten the screws every once in a while. But don't screw to tightly or the screws may break. P.S. The paint is very weak. It will scratch off if you are not careful. But still a very nice looking gun. :)

@ardethbaymedjai thanks. Yea it was working well for awhile but now im having issues with bbs loading. I am using 0.2 gram bbs but for some reason they stop loading into the chamber of the gun to be fired after like the first two. I had one batch of bbs that worked fine but i ran out of those and purchased some new ones. I dont know, do you think its the clip or the weight of the bbs?

@Gypsyblood777 Just keep using .2 grams and if that doesn't work, make sure the drum magazine is wound up 'til the rattling sound you get while winding it stops. If that doesn't work I'm kinda clueless. Otherwise, a stick magazine may make you feel more comfortable; especially the ones that carry 300 bbs.

@torjusb The thompson had the charging handle (is that the "spring" you are talking about? Learn the terms before trying to say something) on the side for military models, the charging handle was on the top for the models from 1919-1928.

Great but one thing, I would suggest that you don't dry fire. (firing with out bbs) It wears down the firing system. And the gun gets slower and slower with the rate of dire
