  • I'm sure that a Cadillac can take an m3 or rs5 on a straight road, but Americans don't understand the significance of corners.. so they don't bother making cars that can handle them.

  • @rangerover06sc For comparison sake, a 5.7L performance version of the Dodge Durango CUV( weighting more then 2.5 tonnes) gets the same figures as the M3. So don't think americans are the only ones who build gas guzzlers.

  • Cadillacs focus too much on the engine. It's more than that. It has to have that smooth, exhilarating, yet comfortable ride you can get in a car such as an RS5 Quattro. I wish RS's would come to the US already. Fuck ignorant America and its lame cars, I'm moving to Europe.

    Audi and BMW tries to create their cars suitable for daily use.

    Achieving the performance of the cadillac with 564 HP is very easy.

    But over 20 litres of gasoline is just really bad for a car in normal use, even for an american car.

    If cadillac would try to achieve a similar ratio, it would not run over 60 miles an hour

  • @W33Dblazer The Audi could easily show the Cadi taillights any day. I'm pretty sure that Cadi is now using European engineering, and testing it on German roads. The ONLY reason that Cadillac is starting to be decent is sport quality is completely due to German engineering.

  • @BiHFSA No, the Audi can't beat the Cadillac in anything. The CTS-V is better handling and faster around the ring than a C6 RS6 Avant. CTS-V kills the old M5 and new RS6 , so the RS5 doesn't have a chance here, nor does the M3 - not in any category here.

It might have more horsepower, but not half of those horses reach the tires. It might win in a drag race. But add corners to a track the Audi will win.

  • @BiHFSA Why don't you check out the BEST lap time each car was capable of doing on Germany's Nordschleife (most famous race track in the world) ? CTS-V = 7:59 , C6 V10 RS6 Avant = 8:09 , not to mention CTS-V kills them on a track and in a straight line ......Audi can not touch this Cadillac. Only with their brand new R8. Audi RS6 top speed is 155/188 (limited/unlimited), Cadillac does 175/191mph (manual/auto).

  • @vwbigchris Most likely true. It's called chilehood sickness .. as with all new tech there are issues that have to be sorted out. A lot of 'low end' mfg. tend to copy ideas when they work and all the kinks have been sorted out. I.e. next gen BMW will have laser-light ... bet they will break, so does HUD, DCT, TT, Hydraulic Power steering, carbon fiber parts etc. If you want to lead, you need to take risks, and that does reflect the issues luxury brands have (RR being the exception).

  • I am in no way saying that CTS-V is a bad car, its not, but people around youtube jump into conclusions a bit too fast, and will take every review for granted (especially when american reviewers compare american cars to foreign cars) without going deep and exploring every car in details. And when you go deep, you will see that M3 and RS5 are simply better cars than CTS-V, and you might also finaly figure out why some cars are branded as "premium cars" and others are not.

  • First of all, you're comparing wrong cars. CTS-V is a car from higher segment than M3 and RS5. Only americans are biased enough to compare apples and oranges, just to prove their point. CTS-V has 560hp, RS5 and M3 have almost 150hp less, so how can you compare that? CTS-V should be compared to M5 and RS6, not M3 and RS5...whats next...comparing it to M1? Other than power, M3 and RS5 are much better cars than CTS-v, in every possible way, and faster around tracks, despite having much less power.

The F10 M5 is four seconds faster around the Nurburgring than a CTSV and the M3 is the dominant Performance cause it can beat the $80K Audi rs5 round the Top Gear Test track and has the M3 also has 12 Championship titles and 15 race wins in the Motorsport history of the M3 .   • BMW, folks, invented the sport sedan in 1962 with the 1500. They re-invented it in 1968 with the 2002tii. They innovated it in 1973 with the 2002 turbo (first turbocharged road car ever produced). They had made a bunch of good cars before that and they made a bunch of good cars after that. All that matters is the M3 has a lot of good stuff built into it. THE BEST STUFF.

  • @KiddGalaxy i like Cadillacs and Mercedes-Benz, but it seems like instead of taking that big risk in making an entirely new car, they would've stuck with the basics. It may just be here in Louisiana, but the CTS-V isn't very popular. I've seen maybe two of them since they came out. So either they're super expensive or they aren't very popular.

The Art and Science design has given Cadillac a distinctive look from the rest of the field. And this is coming from a person who love's Merc Benz… These are the type of cars the American manufactures should have been making 15 years ago before the car collapse. I've been waiting for this car since 2006.

  • @nielslernou How is it biased to say that the cadilac is better when you have two cars that are evenly priced. But with one offering wayyy more interior room, a considerably faster acceleration time, and slightly faster track speed, cheaper cost of maintanence, a higher quality, or at least more exciting interior, and only lacking in the prestige or heritage department. To me the car offering all of that plus another 130 extra horsepower and about 200 more tq is without question the better car.

  • @rehsa2194 Way more interior room? CTS-V coupe has less space inside than BMW 1 series. It has a smaller boot than BMW 1 series. Cheaper cost of maintenance? So? A bike has a cheaper cost of maintenance as well. Higher quality? Dont be silly...CTS-V is nowhere near the quality of BMW or Audi. Fit and finish and material quality is on another level in german cars. Exciting interior? Well, if buttons scattered all over the place without any logic whatsoever is exciting to you...

  • @derbigpr500 Maybe the sedan, but I don't want a sedan, I'd like a sports coupe. And the only sports coupes that seat 4 adult sized people comfortably that I've ever sat in, are a ctsv coupe, m6, bentley, or maybe dodge challenger. Out of those, bentley and m6 are too costly, and dodge isn't fast enough and cant handle as well. I and many people find the ctsv coupe for 60K to be one helluva buy, you dont agree and thats fine. Buy your BMW, but the caddy is every bit as good; all in preference.

  • @rehsa2194 Do you know the dimensions of the CTS-V Coupe? 4788 mm long, 1882 mm wide, 1420 mm high with a wheelbase of crazy long 2880 mm. Do you know the dimensions of M3? 4615 mm long, 1817 mm wide, 1418 mm high with a wheelbase of 2761 mm.. Of course than the CTS-V coupe should have more room inside, it is much longer with longer wheelbase, it should have at least 15 cm more leg room inside, which it doesnt. Also, it has a boot of only 295 liters, M3 has 440 liters! So...

  • @rehsa2194 My point is, even though CTS-V's are compared with M3's, they SHOULDN'T be, because they're in different categories. CTS-V is a much bigger car, it is in the same class or segment as M5 or M6. Or E class AMG, Audi RS6 or Jaguar XF. And even though 3 series is in a segment below, it beats the CTS in terms of build and feel of quality, fit and finish, materials used, luxury inside, noise inside cabin, refinement, smoothness, room, trunk size,stuff that should be better in CTS.

  • @rehsa2194 Also, people seem to only look at speed and measured times, and nothing else. Which is COMPLETELY wrong. It doesn't even tell half the story about the car. For example...lets compare Mitsubitshi Evo X and Cadillac CTS-V. Evo X is faster around any track, it handles much better, it brakes much better, it even probably accelerates better. But would you say its a better car than CTS-V? You see my point? There is much more to a car than speed, and that is why M3 is still ahead of CTS-V.

  • @nielslernou I was sold on the cadilac just as soon as I realized that my 6'5" frame can sit comfortably in the back seat of a car that tops out at 193 mph, which an m3 cant either seat me in the back seat, or top 193 mph. An m3 is simply out classed in every way, now an m6, thats another story. If someone said an m6 was better, I really would argue, that would be all up to preference. But an m3? come on, thats just silly. Unless ur just a serious BMW fan, which theres nothing wrong with that.

  • @rehsa2194 There is no point arguing what is better. I can say whatever I want, but you will still think CTS-V is better. So be it. Someone has to buy it too. But remember, CTS-V is from class ABOVE M3. Those cars shouldnt be compared in the first place. Outside dimensions of CTS-V are similar to M5, and CTS-V against M5 is just outclassed in every single way. What matter to me is how a car feels to drive, how it feels when you use it and this is where BMW is leaps ahead of any other sedans.

  • @rehsa2194 CTS-V feels like a cheap product inside. Build quality is FAR below BMW and Audi. Every button, every piece of material inside BMW and Audi is of highest possible quality. Everything is built solidly as rock. In CTS-V its not. Buttons are all over the place, lots of fake materials (fake chrome, fake carbon fibre, fake aluminum, fake leather and stitching on dash). And it some uses buttons, indicator stalks, light switches from 15000 dollar Opel models...which is just ridiculous.

  • @rehsa2194 What some people, americans in particular because they've been exposed to extremely bad cars in the last 20-30 years, dont understand, is the difference between premium car brands and non-premium car brands. Its enough to go and test drive a bmw 5 series and then test drive a cadillac cts, its enough to see why bmw is premium, and cadillac is not. Perfection in every detail and balance are the key words.

  • @rehsa2194 Another thing where Cadillac has no chance against BMW or Audi is the feeling of solidity. This is something that cant be described, you have to feel it when you drive the car. The feel that car is made of a solid piece of granite is probably the best way to explain. Its gives you confidence and feeling of safety that only german cars have. Again, this is one of the reason why M3 and RS5 are better cars. Its not all about data and 0-60 times, what matter is the feel of the car.

  • @rehsa2194 What i mean by "what matters is the feel of the car". Let me explain. Imagine going to a store to buy a new suit. You go to a cheap store, and ask for a suit. Even though that suit is the same size, and its dimensions are roughly the same, it wont feel as good on you as the expensive suit that is better tailored and made of better materials. Thats the difference between CTS-V or M3/RS5. Once you sit inside the seat and drive them, you wont care about 0.2 sec slower 0-60.
