  • iso me lembra de casa, oh como eu sinto falta de casa

  • thumbs up if u see this in 2012

  • i love scottish music, so beautiful...

  • ahahhahahahahahahhaha scots are funny people but i love them!

  • what are the drums called?

  • Well, the drumming is certainly not of Highland origin, and the piping is well-below the standard of Highland piping today. The dress is more costuming from a theatre workshop than authentic anything. But if they're having fun, that's great. I've heard worse. And lots better--Scotland is blessed with a lot of fine musicians of all stripes and colours, and even non-Scots around the world who pay homage and respect to Highland music by tuning their instruments!!

  • It's brings tears to mine eyes!!!

  • awsome... my favorite tune ever were the heck is this being played !

  • awsome... my favorite tune ever

  • Not an authentic folk setting. The rhythm is not a Scottish rhythm in fact it is a latin/african one

  • @operadood "Not an authentic folk setting. The rhythm is not a Scottish rhythm in fact it is a latin/african one" But to be fair folk music isn't set rigidly in time either. It changes through the years. For instance many play Scottish and Irish folk music on guitars but none of the older traditional songs would ever have been written for that instrument or played that way! There is lots of cross pollination goes on in the folk world all the time.

  • Edinburgh?

  • @vigladi wow. that's some comment:L:L!

  • zajebiste!!!

  • also, i would like to learn Scotish, but its hard to find anything that would teach it, and it seems that as time moves on the language changes, what would be most accurate when i say Scotish? and where would i find the materials to learn it, and also anyone who speaks it please do comment cause when i begin to learn it i would like someone who i could talk to and who would cretique me as i learn.

  • and as for you guys arguing about being Scotish, well, i'll put it this way, i consider myself Scotish though my family was originaly one of the germanic tribes called the Chatti from what is now Germany, though most Chatti moved to Scotland, so i consider myself Scotish, but i havent spent a day of my life in Scotland, so i would say that a Scotish native, who lives there would know best, how long have you guys lived there? that should explain it.

  • also i would add, just because of how much music has spread around the world, and how if i'm Scotish, and i make music, well, its Scotish made, it must be Scotish, i think a more accurate way to word it is, is this original Scotish music, i would think so, although i have to agree with Frillar that the drums were probably incorperated into the music later on, i would think about the 1400-1600s, but thats just my assumption.

  • and a Scotish native would know best. but as for me when i think about good Scotish music i think of music that i might hear around William Wallace's time, and i dont know but i would assume it would be something like this.

  • well i've recently found out that my family spent some time in Scotland though this part of my family lives in the US now, i'm directly related to the Keiths, so i've been doing a bit of research, i would say that this is true Scottish music, just cause the US has had such an influence on "style", though i would say to be sure you should ask someone who lives in Scotland, cause knowing how music has evolved in Scotland would tell you what influence they've accepted.

  • would this awesome music be scottish or pre-scottish........maybe angle people (anglish). people question the drums and dress ......would this be correct in pre-christian days .........north western scottish/gaelic? anyone with an idea please comment.

  • Nice music :D

  • @ramera2317 There's nothing Scottish about those drums. Nor are they celtic.

What you see in the video is simply an act to pander to american tourists visiting Edinburgh who have watched braveheart and not realised the film is almost complete fantasy and in no way historically accurate.

  • @ramera2317 I am Scottish.

  • THIS ISSSS SCOTTTLANDDD....xD

  • Who ever disliked this video, please have a word. SCOTLAND THE BRAVE.

  • The only thing scottish about this is the bagpipes.

The drums aren't Scottish at all. Also the guys are dressed like extras from braveheart. Noone actually ever dressed like that in scotland.

  • Proud to be a scott !!!!

  • My heart breaks and I'm proud to be a Scot.

    For brothers.
