It's fun to watch you play this piece. You certainly can both sensitively and powerfully. It'll be even better if you can make the last minute's playing more dynamic (it sounds a little bit flat out).

This piece is a favorite of Cliburn amateurs because of its expressiveness and relative "ease" of execution. Chopin did love birds, but I wish those birds would have been more respectful of the performance.

I think the birds are a nice touch. I think Chopin was probably inspired by birds. I absolutely love this piece! The ballades are my personal Chopin favorites! Excellent job!
