Tim....nice 'cans' man! Those are really cool lookin' (2 spouts). I'm in for a workshop! When and where? I'm in Houston so give me a day for flying and I'm all over it like a fat kid on a Big Wheel!
Great work! Don't worry about the damaged pots, everything's gonna be alright. I thought you might go a little "Blair Witch" in the darkness. Remember Tim, it's not the length of the spout but rather the brew of the tea! Excellent innovations. (Crowd chants) Bring back the wood firing workshops!
We had a lot less damage and loss than other firings. "those aren't tea pots they are oil cans. We never really had a wood firing workshop. we rent shelves. I would love to do a workshop if you can get a group together we could have a workshop.
Tink Tink....Lovely sound. The opening is my favorite part of the whole ceramic process. Peter is right..the next best thing is watching a video of somebody else's opening.Congrats on the results..Janice
way 2 cool.

where are you getting those "potato chips"? that's just the thing I need for a current little experiment in over-maturing...
clea023 3 years ago
I made the little chips extruded and dipped in kiln-wash. So whats the experiment.

Looks like a great firing! I love seeing the pots in the kiln, something magic about that.
The "potatochips" looks conveeniant. I need to find a simular way to do it, It takes so long to roll all the small waddings for every firing.
Your kiln is realy huge!!! So meny pots:D
Thanx for sharing!

Hey Tim!
Very exciting stuff.
Wish I was there for the firing and opening, this video is the next best thing.
Please show a few pieces from this firing in another video so we can see the flashing, ash deposit etc.
Cheers,
Peter
