  • Very good song, really touched!

  • Haha Nice song! Beautiful

  • Classic...

  • The original creator of this song is Pu Shu.He is my favorite singer.

  • LOVE IT!

    FROM CHINA

  • this is one of the first songs i covered by my guitar.

  • tian na.... T T

  • some times the so called "democracy", looks like a big show! Like a big reality TV or a talent show. To what I feel, the biggest differences between Communist China and England politically is that you can question, doubt or criticise all the government policies openly in the UK, but in China, you only talk about them among friends on dinner tables. in ordinary people's everyday life, no big difference

  • @laurenlin007 You're right. In the main part, it just seems like there are much fewer demonstrations, which who is to say is such a bad thing? Also, instead of spending all that money during campaigns to get people to vote for them, the government can instead use the money to do real things for the people.

  • Why so many people don' t get it? It's not a Russian song. It's a Russian-style song written by Pushu. There is no "original Russian version" and there is no such as thing as "translation".

  • Oh, it's from the Motherland for sure. Russian title: Во поле береза стояла, or "In The Forest Grew A Tiny Birch Tree".

Soviets are not friends or foes; I'm not a communist, but I guess soviet rule was better for the Russians. At least back then they were all powerful and respected. Democratic or not, Russia now is far less a power house than it once was. Let this be a lesson... People dont necessarily need democracy, they need money, food, clean water and a peaceful life.

  • @nickyTheKnight But for ordinary people there was no money and sufficient food under soviet rule!

  • do they have that now? 10% of the Saint Petersburg 's population just vanished between 91 and 01, doesnt that tell us something about their living standard? If they were richer, happier and had a more prosperous future, why would so many of them leave? Yes, sure, democracy prevails, but at what cost to the Russian people?

  • @nickyTheKnight are you dumb enough to think they died? Communist, no, Stalinist bastard.

  • @LoggyWD wtf are you talking about? wtf is dead?

  • @LoggyWD wtf are you talking about? wtf is dead?

  • ahh this song is so old but i love it so much

  • This song was written by Pushu himself, not one translated from Russian.

  • I never said that this song was translated from Russian.

I know Pushu wrote it himself.

  • no it is true! it is his song

  • nice song, but sb said pu shu just copied other's work, dont know whehter it is true.

  • Yeah.. I've most certainly heard a version of this song which I believe was a duet.. but dunno which one is the original though. I guess both songs are nice in their own way :)

  • i love it......so touching

  • This song is composed by Chinese singer Pu Shu.

He is genius, I like this song so much

  • Wow... I love this.

  • fantastic romanticly

  • Classic!!

  • omg, i remember my parents told me they grew up watching Soviet movies..

  • I've always loved this song because of its Russian flavour. does anyone know how i can find more good songs like this?

  • we and russian r friends

  • russians are not friends.... have a look, in russia, how bad they people treat chinese there....

i had one year crazy experience there...

  • an old video

  • very old

i was still in secondary school

    n crazy abt this song

  • Can still recall how thousands of university students like me were mesmerized by both the song itself as well as the story behind it...A sadly romantic Chinese popular campus ballad with beautiful Russian elements in it(a bit nostalgic as most Chinese grew up with Russian music )...beautiful

  • just wondering....are you guys asian?(chinese) or else how did you guys found this song lol

  • good point

  • not hard. the former soviet union was the best friend of china.

but after 1960s we break up....but still can see russian shadow in china

  • Soviet-era musics are very nice...

  • i wann cry..

  • the Russian sentiments in china is very interesting ...

  • From 50's till 60's, we had lot of influence from the Soviet Union. My grandpa who was a Communist solder could speak fluent Russian.

  • thank you, but i am chinese... ahahah! and from one of the cities most influenced by the russians! they brough ballet, piano, fur shops, sausage, orthodox churches and many more to my city long before the establishment of PRC. Yes, these were the white russians who fled away from the revolution...

  • so my point is that russian influence dates back much earlier... think about the russian prostitutes in shanghai in the 1920s' and 1930s'...But sure, if you are in Harbin, it is another story. : ) well, i dont suppose non-chinese would watch this video and hear our internal education on the russian influence in china : P

  • I was talking about the Russians from the old days. Today's Russian are not like that anymore, most of them now are pro nazis, which is totally against the ideology of Communism. I'd love to see a reunion of the Soviet Union.

  • very hilarious "ideology" you have. Never mind, you are talking about totally different thing than me. Music with Russian flavor is beautiful. That's all I want to say now. Cannot communicate with you. Sorry.

  • I love the music from the Soviet Union and the old "communist Russians".

  • I love those russian songs that were translated to chinese.

There a lot of old songs that were influenced by the russicans.

    SO GOOD.

  • this song made me cry so hard ):

    it's so sadddd....
