Subway as a favorite meal doesn't sound weird to me, It's hard to go out to eat when you're a vegetarian. It might seem weird to other people but Denny's is my favorite restaurant, because they're the only place that has a decent veggieburger. Subway is a close seconded I get a veggie-delite on wheat with everything except jalapenos, and sweet onion sauce.

My favorite Subway sub which I split with my mom is~ foot long, italian herbs and cheese bread, pepper jack cheese, roasted chicken, little lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber, bell pepper, pickles, olives, red whine vinagertte, and avocado and sometimes bacon added on it... soooooooo good <3 . Yup, you can use beets to make red velvet cake, or so I have read. The beets will give it the red colour. Not sure about how that would effect the taste... But it's worth a try if you don't want to use red food gel colouring.
