Thomas Jefferson. He was in an interesting predicament. He had slaves, but he couldn't possibly set them free seeing as he was in much debt. He did though educate them and treat them well.

I we went back on the gold standard with all the dollars currently in circulation divided by amount of gold left in Fort Knox I would have to say the new price for gold would be $100K an ounce or more. That is not how it was originally set up. The system has been torqued and tweaked over many years to allow a dictator. It is supposed to be a system of checks and balances. Directive 51 eliminates those checks and balances.
