Steven and his wife were at Women of Faith today . I heard this song and the story behind it for the first time. It broke my heart. May God continue to pour out healing on this beautiful family!
i dont go a single day with out saying 'i love you " to my kids... the other day my husband left with my boys to the store and my son stuck his out and the car and yelled "i love you MOMMY" it just filled my heart to hear his little voice yell that out with so much pride.. yes, my neighbors saw it to..lol
Me and mi dad danced to that song for my 13th birthday party. And he said to me not to forget this song because in 3 years when I tuen 16 we will be right back on the dance floor. To that very same song. And also when I get married. And everytime I hear that swing I think of what my dad had said to me and looking foward to those moments when it's just him and me dancing again.
@SilentPainTears agreed. Yesterday, when I was cleaning up a mess at home, I stopped to eat a snack, and then afterwards my dad gave me a hug becauses he hasn't done that in a long time. It was very, very sweet of him. (sniffs).
omg he's truly amazing, i'm kinda ashamed to say that this video kinda made me smile, i mean the way he talks about this song & the way he describes it here, but we all know the tragic side of this story.

its a great song, why the fuck do you have to bring religion into everything? as a father i understand what he means and several of you idiots have to bring in your stupid religion into it. its a song. get over it. i remember why i dont go to church now. noobs.
just because he sang a song that dowsnt talk about god doesnt mean that now he is a bad person for writing that song....i mean think about all the other songs in this world that are so bad why are you guys complaining about it
Personally, though I'm a believer, I do not think that this was meant as a Christian song. It's just a father cherishing the passing moments with his daughter... You don't have to be a Christian to love your children, do you?
the day before she was hit by the car she prayed to God that she wanted to go to Heaven and live with him for eternity and she asked him into her heart by she i mean his 5 year old daughteri think she'd be six now
I realize he is a Christian singer. In fact, I first heard this song on KLove, a Christian radio station. :) However, I personally think that this particular song was NOT meant solely to be a Christian song, but a song to get people to think about how quick their loved ones can and will move on/disappear. Personally, I think all this junk about Iaweh (Jesus Christ, Son of the Father), "burning in hell" especially!!, is just a lot of spam and has nothing to do with the song at all! :(
I think it's great how many of you are standing up for Christianity and your beliefs. I'm not going to tell you to stop but to be hesitant about what you are posting because you don't know how many people read these comments. Keep in mind also that when you preach you want to preach correctly and you want to lead by example. If you telling people to 'burn in hell' do you think that their impressions on Christians and Christianity will be improved? That's all I wanted to say, Thank you.
Ok im not saying this to be rude or anyting its just a question that i have always wondered, ok so if god created people and the world and everything then who created god and if whatever created god could create him then why can't it have created us to? If that makes since, for me im not saying i dont believe in god but believe in god i believe there is a higher power i defiantly don't believe in the bible
God always has been and always will be. There are things that we as humans are not ment to understand. Being able to wrap our minds around the consept of His everlasting exsistance is something that we are going to just accept and believe and trust Him.
then what created that higher power, and then what created that higher power. all religons requier faith. Evloution for instance, you need faith (or trust in) this story/ history telling for it to be true to you. and my final statement is if one word of the bible is not true, then the whole thing is not true, no nips, no tucks, the bible is, what the bible is. im 14 and have disgrafia so dont makefun of my spelling. =D

I've never believed in it i just look at it as it was written thousands of years ago so i don't can really ever know what happened back then and for all i know the bible was written just to make people do and think the way that person wanted things and thought people should be, i probably never will believe in the bible but thats just me i dont think people are wrong for believing in it i just have diff views on things.
you should believe in god because he created everything in the world and you should believe in the bible because its the greatest book to ever be on the earth. There is no higher power than God.

you can believe in the bible but for me i think its a load of crap(no offense to the believers) and i choose not to believe it and i didn't say i dont believe in god i just say i dont believe that he created the world and everything upon it
Do you mean you believe in evolution? If that actually happened there would be tons of fossils indicating the evolving of mankind. As is today the Bible's version is the only plausible theory. It is too much of a concidence the world "happened" to be created. The more you learn of the universe the more you realize everything is so intricate, delicately balanced, and so purposely designed.
well why cant the world have just happened, god just happened, what did he just pop out of nowhere and create everything. I don't think the bible is a good theory and evolution is much better explained and their are fossils to back it up, the is nothing to back up the bible except for what it says.
Well, really because that would be against scienctific theory, you can't have a creation with out the creator. its just not done, however Giod is something different , he created everything, so he just is, always was, and always will be.
The big bang theory is in fact a theory and that would contradict what the bible says. I don't understand why so many people try to understand God because to God were are like a box of rocks. We will never understand him, and we always put him in a box and try to turn him into some thing that we can understand. If God wanted us to know how the earth was made it would have been put in the bible. Its not important, the only important thing is that he did create the earth.
what a huge loss for him n family tho. If u check out on his website its got video of the memorial service, mn it is inspirational! non stop praising God thro their huge loss!
to stalin1987's you obviously have had a hard life and i will definatly agree that christians can be some of the most ignorant judging people you can find but that doesn't extend to all of them. Believe it or not you can find christians who will extend a helping hand to a stranger in need. about the song i love it and this post really makes me realise how much my dad does love me. I havn't been spending much time with him for a while now so mabe i will just have to change that :)
You know something, everyone has their own faith and beliefs and we should respect that, even if we dont agree with them. This song is amazing and even though I did not grow up with a father, I am glad that I have a step-father, that I love as though he were my real father, and someday I will dance with him at my wedding.
And regardless of what ever anyone thinks he wrote this song for his daughters and that simple fact is what makes this song even more special.
maria sue was five and her brother accidentally killed her with his car. He adopted three girls from china. There is a news report on youtube about it.
maybe you missed something.. he had two other daughters that were 4 at the time this video was filmed. it was one of those, Maria Sue who was accidently hit by her teenage brother with an SUV.. she was 5 years old.

Just want to point out a simple fact. If God did not want this to happen he would have stopped it. To say otherwise would to deny the belief that God is all powerful which he is. So either by His action or inaction in everything it is His will and no one else. If you believe otherwise, you must also believe that if He can't save a little girl how could He save us from eternal damnation? The belief that God did not want this to happen is a much deeper seeded problem in your faith in him.
God has plan for everyone, and the through our pain and suffering He uses it to bring us and others closer to Him. Its not that God wanted it to happen its just that He has a plan through her death.

So god has a plan for all the dying children in Africa and elsewhere?
You foolish people make me sick, there is no plan, no grand design, and there is no way to stop human suffering or the pointless deaths of children and adults around the world.
You people say leave it to God, he will end the suffering one day. And yet, things only continue to get worse and never better.
Go ahead, sit in your houses and continue to pray for things to get better.
Where do you think that this world came from if you think its the big bang then where did the cells come from to make it explode? Even if you don't agree with christians then does that mean you have to come on here and get mad at a good man who's daughter by the way just died! Oh my gosh thats just ugh
Way to be original. That's always the first response from anyone who wants to contradict God's plan. It's really getting old.
You're missing the point. There may be pointless deaths, but there is no pointless life.
I hope you don't think all christians are lazy, hopefull bastards. Don't get me wrong, some are real hypocrites. Ever hear of the Red Cross? Yeah. That organization that goes to help people in need? They're a christian based organization, dude. And that's only one example.
I know I'll end up sounding defensive and over-zealous and whatnot if I say I'm offended but... I am.
I don't believe in God, but most of my friends do, whether they are Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, or even "Pagan". But I love my family, and my family loves me. It's not lonely at all.
Perhaps God is real, but I'm not a believer right now. But if there really is a God, I think he'd be proud of me because I live my life to the fullest.
even the strongest disbelievers went out to prove him out of existence and when they were done they became a christian. it isnt like they force you to be a certain religion. that would be more like a cult. if you feel at best not believing stay the same. he can help you though and just being a christian on easter or christmas isnt enough.if you are not devoted to putting your life around him then you are fine living the way you are. and it is glad to hear some are living to the fullest. thanks
-shrugs- I have no doubt that believing in God does have that potential. However, I was still offended that AngelKay7 decided to say not believing in God (Or Allah, or Fu, or Zues or whatever God you may believe in) means I live in very "sad and lonely existence".
Attitudes like that annoy me because if Atheists go around and say, "I think you live an ignorant and old-fashioned lifestyle", then it's wrong, and evil, and Anti-Jesus. If on the other hand Christians say, "You're sad." it's fine.
true and i dont know how people distinguish their god is more important yet every religion is possessed to think this. like they say ours is the god. well so are the other millions. and yes there are millions. its okay have a nice day
@Stalin1987s I don't want to start an argument, but personally, I think death and suffering happen because sin was brought into the world. And we can't just sit back, leave everything to God, and ask him to take care of things. I think we have to meet him half way. We shouldn't just sit at home and pray, we should go out and help people in anyway we can as we spread God's word. Maybe we can set an example for others that way and work together, no matter our differing religious beliefs.
I do not understand any of you. What happened to his daughter was an accident. I am sure that the Lord, did not mean for this to happen. I doubt even he our god would be that cruel. If he did have a purpose for doing this then she is in a better place with our father. I feel for the Chapman family, but you all are squabbling like little children about this. Our father, tests us in what happens during our lives everyday. It depends on how we take our lessons and apply it to our lives.
if u read the Bible, everything happens 4a reason. We may not know the reason yet or maybe we never know. But everything does happen 4a reason! In Bible ppl were blind &sick so Jesus could heal them &teach us thru that.He did it mostly not 4ppl n that time but us.He allows things 2happen that'll shaken us somtimes 2awaken us& 2tell us n a loving way that God's alive.A test comes 2strengthen us &make us stronger. If u pass the test u will be better 4it. God knows what He's doing,at all times.

AND ANOTHER THING.. HIS family was not "Blessed," he LOST his daughter by death! Do we even know what blessing means? Blessing is to experience a supernatural happy experience that which God could only provide. DO you think the God you love and serve would want this girl do die to be a blessing.. ?? wtf you guys are crazy.
I don't understand you Christians! God did not make this happen for a reason. His son ran over her by a car. She died. Every one is in deep pain because of it. This story impacts people who are non-believers like meself to believe, because the song and life that was shared is love, and maybe godly love.. but, what the hell do I know. Life is not impacted by God, but by our own actions.
if u read the Bible, everything happens 4a reason. No God didnt make this happen, God didnt want this to happen..its a tragedy..But God can take tragedy and comfert you and Love you..the diffrence is that a christian threw there pain and hurt have hope..The bible says what was ment for bad or evil God will use for good..
That's 'cause you don't know Christ. There are tests in our lives. However some things (mostly all of them) happened because of our own decisions. God has a plan for us. Whether we follow it, or not, is on our decision. Things also happen through tragedy, not because of God. But God is the one that actually can take that pain away and heals us completely.
i don't think god made it hapen for a reason i think that satan is trying to mes with their family and get them all twisted so that they hate god for doing that and i fell very sorry for them and for what happened to maria!
u r right about satan but,if u read Bible, everything happens 4 reason. We may not know reason yet or maybe we never know. But everything does happen 4a reason! In Bible ppl were blind &sick so Jesus could heal them &teach us thru that.He did it mostly not 4ppl n that time but us.He lets things happen that'll shaken us somtimes 2awaken us& tell us n loving way that God's alive.A test comes 2strengthen us &make us stronger. If u pass the test u'll be better 4it.God knows what He's doing,at all times
The only idiot here, is the person who cannot spell accident.
I know it was his own son, I was talking about if my kid got rolled over by someone, not family. I might just kill that person.
Another idiot would be the kid who ran over his own flesh and blood. To spill your own sisters blood, horrible, horrible situation, and it calls for suicide
dude he didnt mean to besides there not idiots ok you dont know them and you dont know what there like you cant call someone an idiot inless you know them and they realy r an idiot
you got the message and your lesson....and you did remember the special moments...thank you for your beautiful song..for all the women, ladies...we deserve to be Cinderella for 1x in our lives....
That's such a cute story. :) At first I thought the song was about his daughter's death, but once I heard this story it made more sense...God bless his family...
While there may not be a sad story behind the song, his daughter (Maria Sue) died about a year after he filmed this. I believe his teenage son accidentally hit her with his car in the family's driveway.
i never even knew my dad. those of you who have a dadm please dont take advantage of what it is like to have both parents. as a child i never had any special moments with daddy. so treasure the memories.
Darn. I heard there was a sad story behind it but there isn't. I never did anything special with my Dad...there were only three times. Like learning how to read with him and having one moment of playing ball with him
Perhaps, God not only tested u, but also those u were with. The recent events, have amplified this song. God helped him to write the song, and now the message God sent through this song is around the world.

I just spent three days in vegas, I gambled, was drunk most of the time. Watched a topless show and paid 500$ to have two hot asian girls grind on me and let me do some crazy things to them. Can't be forgiven for that kind of immoral activity when I willingly take part now can I?
Stalin1987s you should know no matter what you do God will always love you and forgive you. God loves all sinners no matter how much they sin. His love will always be with you even if you dont want him there. He's never going to turn his back on you. Thats a message for anyone who thinks they can get God to stop loving them.
I don't feel god, I don't see god working through people. I see a world of pointlessness and despair. The christians preaching to the crowds, but when they have someone in need of help in their house they don't see the obvious. (thats been the case with me over and over again). Christians going over to other countries to preach and yet they don't want to help the people in their own country.
Las Vegas and southern California are two of the most god deprived places in this country. But the Christians stay away from these areas because they what, fear for their lives? I don't know, help me understand.
Then there is the people who speak out against Christianity , they make it their goal in life to stop all that is Christian. They have nothing better to do other then bash your religion, and to make it look bad anytime they can. Truly it is like a war that has gone on for ages
I suppose that they don't preach as much in the US because most people in America know about God. The people in those states are some of the people that refuse to accept Christ.
Christians preach in other countries that are not as privelaged as the US so that they can share God's love to those who don't know of it.
And, believe it or not, people do preach there. But Christians try to help states like California and Nevada by praying for them. And it does make a difference, if only a small one
I've questioned it. I don't know about anyone else here, but I know I went through a lot of questioning. Maybe that's why my faith is so strong now. When I wasn't sure, He was patient, He waited. The wonderful thing about God is that He wants you to choose Him. So He knows there are other choices out there. Not questioning means not choosing. If you only go with God from the beginning, you have Faith, but did you choose it or was it chosen for you? I chose God, and He has never let me down.
I thought I had believed in God as a child, until I started doing and thinking of doing things that by christian standards made me look evil, and I felt like an evil child. At a certain point I was so scared of God, I truly believed that I had been forsaken by Him and nothing mattered anymore because I was going to hell anyway. Six years of depression followed, each year it got worse. And on the last year I was ready to kill myself, I almost did but my brother found me before I was able to do it
After that I slowly started to realize that I was wrong believing that God had anything to do with me. So I choose to stop believing, and now I have been able to repair some of the damage that was caused. And I am finally trying to make something of my life.
Conratulations on the road back to recovery from suidicide. I was there myself, and a close friend brought me so a halt. It's not easy, and I applaud you for making something of yourself. Please, don't get the wrong idea about Christians. Some of the people on here seem to have reinforced a negative stereotype about us. It's not about preaching endlessly and living your life to convert others. It's about a personal relationship with God, and a faith that is as strong as you can make it.
i live in the states and i think that we see a different perspective. the majority of christians here who desire to seek the lord and live their life to the full with him go seek him. and the other half of the americans say they believe in God but are too lazy and the benefits of being a christian come to them. being a christian means hard work and doing your part. and there is no difference with who we pray for and to be honest we pray more for the aids in Africa than people in the states.
My parents are missionaries to Perú (South America) and comparing it to United States it is as dificult to make people believe here than it is in the US. I mean people are people anywhere we go. The same problems, the same life. Here people walk on two feet, listen to music, have friends, and go hang out with fiends also. The only difference is the customes. Here we say hi to girls by kissing their cheek (although it's more like kissing the air by putting the two cheeks together).
Hey I just want to apologize for any mistake my fellow brothers in Christ may have made with not showing you the love of God. Look man, I know for a fact that Christ died for all of us-he died for you and me becuase he loved everyone so much. All you have to do is accept him...
also if you ever have one real experience...just one real experience...where you are at your lowest point, and you call on the name of Jesus, in your spirit....and you feel a peace in your spirit..,.you will never have to wonder again. God will reveal the answers to your questions....some are left unanswered....however....that is what faith is all about...believing in something you cant see...but feels like its sitting next to you! We love you....and i am sorry if a christian has ever hurt you!
Stalin, i am soo sorry about the loss of your family members. That is so awful....but even worst, you have lost a need for God...that young man never meant to hurt his sister...its not in a true christians spirit to want that for anyone...it was an accident. also, death is not comprable to a cold. That person will never be back here. The only hope to see them again is in heaven. Its a long separation period. Yes as common as a cold,,,,to say the tragedy levels are equal....come on....pleaes
Wow..him talking about this made me cry..Im 13 years old, and I'm lucky if my dad knows I'm even here.. I've never had that father/daughter relationship with him. He doesn't even really pay much attention to us(me, my older bro, & lil sis...or his step daughter [my half sister, which is older than me too] )
I know how you feel, and I'm so, so sorry. If you ever need to talk to anyone, you can email me, or message me on here. My email's sparkle_113, and I'm on Hotmail (.com). I know I could have typed it out but the Youtube servers block it :P
Not sure if you're Christian or not, but I'll pray for you. Maybe we'll both find someone special to talk to sometime soon, eh? But in the mean time, smile the best way you know how. :) xx

lol stalin ur so funny dude i mean every christian here is one of them i believe god made the world and loves everyone but they keep avoidingthe question u asked abt proof of god
no some of us dont have real proof that God is in fact real but we have faith. Have you ever heard the saying "Seeing is not beliveing" thats exactly what God is. Now on the other hand some of us do have proof. I dont know what kind of proof but. Me myself I have Faith. I have faith that God is real from what people see and my own experiences.
To be honest, were I to explain some of the reasons I have faith in God, I imagine Stalin would brush them aside because they were things he did not experience. Just look at Thomas. Thomas doubted and Stalin clearly has more doubts than Thomas.
I'm no theologian and I don't express my thoughts that well. Bottom line is if I answered his question we'd just get into a duel of throwing claims for and against God at each other. I don't want to do that. Am I avoiding his question? Probably...
...But the bottom line is that if Stalin feels very motivated to find about the truth of the Lord, he will. I don't think my words are a weapon I can use to help him. I a bit like Legolas. He had a sword if needed, just as I have my words. But the real weapon was his bow, as my real weapon is prayer.
I don't want to fight with him or misguide him, as that will alienate him. I truly hope that he will pick up the Bible or a really good book on God the learn about the truth. If I'm simply...
...another person avoiding the question, I'm sorry. The Steven Curtis Chapmans of the world serve God through music. The Christian authors, through books. We all use what God has given us. But I will say this: The Bible is incredibly well documented and I don't believe Christ's followers had anything to gain but persecution by spreading the news of Christ's works.
One more thing that may bring some opposition from other Christians... I do not believe unbelievers go to Hell when they die, if they have never heard the True Word of God...not just what man wants you to think is the true word. Again, I think you have looked in the wrong place for the truth. If you are truly seeking the truth, look to God... not man. God Bless!
This can be a very in depth study. It's not as easy to just point to one scripture and say that's it. but as briefly as I can put it... The only unforgiveable sin is to deny Christ. Common sense tells us you cannot really deny something till you truly know what it is you are denying. Example: Most who deny Christ are denying a god they believe to be mean and uncaring. I would deny that god too. Therefore they are not denying the One True God. Even in Revelations we see that Jesus still gives...
... some a chance to repent and come back to him after he returns. Because they were led astray by false beliefs and teachers. He even went to preach to those in Paradise after he died on the cross. There are many examples of him giving those who never really knew him to know him, and then make their choice. God is a just and fair God and will give all a chance to truly know him before accepting or denying him. Simple as I can put it and if you still want actual verses I can look them up.
actually they ae because everybody knows about jesus and they are responsable for their actions and if they choose to accept jesus in your heart or not
Stalin, I have read thru your posts and I will agree with you that Christians can be some of the most judgemental and isolating people. but there not all bad. Do not look for truth or faith in people they will always let you down. Just as we have the right to think your comments are insensitive, you have the same right to your opinion. As far as Proof of God... just look around you and in the mirror. This life is proof that there is a God.

Personally, though I'm a believer, I do not think that this was meant as a Christian song. It's just a father cherishing the passing moments with his daughter... You don't have to be a Christian to love your children, do you?

Its a true point.... But it doesnt have to say jesus loves me every song to be a Christian singer.

you can believe in the bible but for me i think its a load of crap(no offense to the believers) and i choose not to believe it and i didn't say i dont believe in god i just say i dont believe that he created the world and everything upon it
eliserocks08 2 years ago
Do you mean you believe in evolution? If that actually happened there would be tons of fossils indicating the evolving of mankind. As is today the Bible's version is the only plausible theory. It is too much of a concidence the world "happened" to be created. The more you learn of the universe the more you realize everything is so intricate, delicately balanced, and so purposely designed.
RockNnFame 2 years ago
well why cant the world have just happened, god just happened, what did he just pop out of nowhere and create everything. I don't think the bible is a good theory and evolution is much better explained and their are fossils to back it up, the is nothing to back up the bible except for what it says.
eliserocks08 2 years ago
Well, really because that would be against scienctific theory, you can't have a creation with out the creator. its just not done, however Giod is something different , he created everything, so he just is, always was, and always will be.
LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago 3
what if god was the source of the big bang?
rebecca1918420 2 years ago
Then he Created the Big bang theory the point is that God Created the world.
LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago
The big bang theory is in fact a theory and that would contradict what the bible says. I don't understand why so many people try to understand God because to God were are like a box of rocks. We will never understand him, and we always put him in a box and try to turn him into some thing that we can understand. If God wanted us to know how the earth was made it would have been put in the bible. Its not important, the only important thing is that he did create the earth.

This song is amazing and even though I did not grow up with a father, I am glad that I have a step-father, that I love as though he were my real father, and someday I will dance with him at my wedding.
And regardless of what ever anyone thinks he wrote this song for his daughters and that simple fact is what makes this song even more special.

But know this, you accomplish nothing

actually I think most people are like "thank god" when life is good, but when life is bad it's that "life isn't fair"...

So yes, I am a little offended at what you said.

even the strongest disbelievers went out to prove him out of existence and when they were done they became a christian. it isnt like they force you to be a certain religion. that would be more like a cult. if you feel at best not believing stay the same. he can help you though and just being a christian on easter or christmas isnt enough.if you are not devoted to putting your life around him then you are fine living the way you are. and it is glad to hear some are living to the fullest. thanks
keldagrim666 2 years ago
-shrugs- I have no doubt that believing in God does have that potential. However, I was still offended that AngelKay7 decided to say not believing in God (Or Allah, or Fu, or Zues or whatever God you may believe in) means I live in very "sad and lonely existence".
Attitudes like that annoy me because if Atheists go around and say, "I think you live an ignorant and old-fashioned lifestyle", then it's wrong, and evil, and Anti-Jesus. If on the other hand Christians say, "You're sad." it's fine.

Stalin1987s 3 years ago
Las Vegas and southern California are two of the most god deprived places in this country. But the Christians stay away from these areas because they what, fear for their lives? I don't know, help me understand.
Then there is the people who speak out against Christianity , they make it their goal in life to stop all that is Christian. They have nothing better to do other then bash your religion, and to make it look bad anytime they can. Truly it is like a war that has gone on for ages
Stalin1987s 3 years ago
I suppose that they don't preach as much in the US because most people in America know about God. The people in those states are some of the people that refuse to accept Christ.
Christians preach in other countries that are not as privelaged as the US so that they can share God's love to those who don't know of it.
And, believe it or not, people do preach there. But Christians try to help states like California and Nevada by praying for them. And it does make a difference, if only a small one
MissE2700 3 years ago
Alot of people in those states walk around hopelessly, and know nothing of your God.

Have you ever questioned what you were taught to believe?
Stalin1987s 3 years ago

And on the last year I was ready to kill myself, I almost did but my brother found me before I was able to do it
Stalin1987s 3 years ago
After that I slowly started to realize that I was wrong believing that God had anything to do with me. So I choose to stop believing, and now I have been able to repair some of the damage that was caused. And I am finally trying to make something of my life.

Conratulations on the road back to recovery from suidicide. I was there myself, and a close friend brought me so a halt. It's not easy, and I applaud you for making something of yourself. Please, don't get the wrong idea about Christians. Some of the people on here seem to have reinforced a negative stereotype about us. It's not about preaching endlessly and living your life to convert others. It's about a personal relationship with God, and a faith that is as strong as you can make it.
ladybugxox74 3 years ago
i live in the states and i think that we see a different perspective. the majority of christians here who desire to seek the lord and live their life to the full with him go seek him. and the other half of the americans say they believe in God but are too lazy and the benefits of being a christian come to them. being a christian means hard work and doing your part. and there is no difference with who we pray for and to be honest we pray more for the aids in Africa than people in the states.
lizzles122192 3 years ago
My parents are missionaries to Perú (South America) and comparing it to United States it is as dificult to make people believe here than it is in the US. I mean people are people anywhere we go. The same problems, the same life. Here people walk on two feet, listen to music, have friends, and go hang out with fiends also. The only difference is the customes. Here we say hi to girls by kissing their cheek (although it's more like kissing the air by putting the two cheeks together).

:) xx

no some of us dont have real proof that God is in fact real but we have faith.

But I will say this: The Bible is incredibly well documented and I don't believe Christ's followers had anything to gain but persecution by spreading the news of Christ's works.

i agree with cocogirl13, you cant just take a loved one that has passed away and just forget abou them
its actually good to remeber them but like you also dont have to put them in everyhting they do or say

is Satlin still causing trouble?!
jamii123195 3 years ago
One more thing that may bring some opposition from other Christians... I do not believe unbelievers go to Hell when they die, if they have never heard the True Word of God...not just what man wants you to think is the true word. Again, I think you have looked in the wrong place for the truth. If you are truly seeking the truth, look to God... not man. God Bless!

Could you tell me where in scripture you base your opinion from?
jjmclamb 3 years ago

Well in my opinion, if someone hasn't been told of jesus they can't be held acountable for not beliveing.
Brokenswings 3 years ago
actually they ae because everybody knows about jesus and they are responsable for their actions and if they choose to accept jesus in your heart or not

But people have not truly heard the true word of god deep in the african rainforest you know.
Brokenswings 3 years ago
but many of us christians
are not doing there job of going out into the forest in africa to speak the word of God
that would be our fault
SunshineTLH 3 years ago
i agree, th's what i mean, they cannot be held accountable
Brokenswings 3 years ago
Stalin, I have read thru your posts and I will agree with you that Christians can be some of the most judgemental and isolating people. but there not all bad. Do not look for truth or faith in people they will always let you down. Just as we have the right to think your comments are insensitive, you have the same right to your opinion. As far as Proof of God... just look around you and in the mirror. This life is proof that there is a God.
