My conclusion is that we are in the midst of a collapse that we are refusing to acknowledge and there is probably no way that democracy and globalisation will survive in the medium term.

As was pointed out todays solutions become tomorrows problems.So there are no solutions in th end.  Democracy as we know it is impotent to move. The way Democratic societies adapt to decline is to retreat to Nationalism/Fascism and probably increased war. In our just in time world this means billions die.

What, were they suggesting development and release of Stuxnet type viruses are OK when done by Israel (where evidence is pointing Stuxnet originated) but if done by other nations it is concerning....

It is called inflation-cannot strop it except perhaps a move to the gold standard. There waqs about ten financial companies responsible for quite a bit but the other hundred thousands of companies took the time to their due diligance in figuring out what was going on. Pres Obama is bringing Glass Stiegal back that Clinton took away.,
