2 Good Ocean Games: Lethal Weapon (AMIGA), Super Turrican 2 (SNES)

Okay, Factor 5 developed that last one, but Ocean published it. I've heard that Ocean did great on the home computers of the early '90s from several people, and looking at the Amiga version of Lethal Weapon I can easily believe it!

There is another game made by Ocean that is also quite good, called Mr. Nutz for the Snes and Genesis. It's no masterpiece, but for Ocean standards its pretty good.

Speaking of a good game from Ocean, try Terminator 2 for the Commodore 64. I played and really enjoyed it.. It can get a bit repetitive but I think it's enjoyable. I'd love to see you review it if you can get your hands on it.

I don't get what's so "good" about this game.

When I watch those vids of it , one thing comes to mind :

Repetivity and blandness.

You keep using ONE gun the whole game, no stealth, no hand to hand fight, you fight the same arabian guy with his towel on every single stage and moment of this game and that's it.

No boss fights, no puzzles, no variety in the way you do fight and the enemies themselves (minus some are having guns later in the game).

So how is this good at all ?

its more of an survival..

each stage gets harder,

its like first stage there wil be those guys walking to u with 2 man.

second level they will run to u with 3 man.

4level they wil run and jump on u with 4 man or more.

etc etc

u gotta try it ureself to see if its fun, u can download the rom and play it on an emulator.

I lol`d. That`s a damn good Review. And...yeah.....as far as I remember there were only 2 Games by Ocean, that I liked. "Lost Patrol" and "Addams Family" - but hell if I know if they were developed by that company!? They published some very good Games at least. "Mr. Nutz" / "Super Turrican II" and so on. Wanted to add that there are at least 5 levels, maybe a 6th, rather than only 4. You can only get to them by playing from the start, rather than playing through in practice mode.

I've got into comics a lot more these past few years and learned some of the names via the comic book resources website and Wikipedia. I also remember them from the awesome X-men arcade game. Even though I don't like the characters that much, the game was awesome.

Ocean were famous back in the days of home computers (Amstrad, Commodore, Spectrum). The simpler the system and the simpler the game i think the better Ocean did.

Try The Addams Family on the SNES if you want a really good Ocean game.

Also some of the titles they released in the UK in the 80's was pretty innovative.

It was just the mid 90's shite that fucked them up to the point they had to sell themselves to infogrammes (AKA Atari)
