I have to agree with the majority: in many ways, this show is superior.

The Shredders (the Utrom one and the Tengu one) are far deadlier and more intimidating than the 90s Shedder, Karai is a far better character than Lotus Blossom, the new April is stronger and smarter than the 90s one, the new Casey is saner and more heroic than the 90s Casey, and the show as a whole is more action-adventure oriented while the 90s show was more of a comedy.

Mainly because I take issue with strong, powerful women being depicted as villains.

I like strong, imposing women who are actually heroines: Xena, Wonder Woman, Lara Croft, Big Barda, She-Hulk, Toph and so on.

Don't even get me started on Karai.

First she's evil, then she's good, then she's evil again, then she's good again, then she's evil again...

I seriously lost track of how many times Karai switched sides.

She reminds me of Norbert's alter-ego from "The Angry Beavers", Baron Beaver, who switched sides every time Nobert assumed the persona.

@Xaireii This version of TMNT follows the original comic book more closely than the first show,at least with characters.In this one,there are four shredders.The first is the original Shredder,the second is alien Shredder,the one in the opening is the adopted daughter of the original,and lets not forget Cyber Shredder.

I have seen the art designs for the new cartoon and its much different than this version... I just hope its as good as or better then this version.
