  • Somebody grab that extinguisher, because this guy's on FIRE!

HWOOOOOOOO... You blew me away! YEEAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

    BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!!!!

    (hangs self)

  • Yeah-take the basics and make it your own, by practicing and listening (play with your ears), I've been told.

  • I like how you explain this in the beginning, I don't know how come I have so much trouble with this simple beat, I must practice, practice, practice

  • Is a good teacher

  • everyday i'm shuffle drummin'!

  • ahhhaha stop making lessons. -.-

  • @theFMLP Go fuck yourself

  • that`s the same as a moeller two on the hi-hat. check out dave whitiker on the one handed roll video on you tube he shows moeller 2 moeller 3 and moeller 4 but i do like this lesson good teacher.check out my shuffle and other begginer drum lessons on drummerdude 9313 there pretty cool for begginers good simple stuff.

  • that`s the same as a moeller two on the hi-hat.

  • I LOVE THIS GUY

  • great teacher, good lesson, dot

  • what 's wrong with this vid? it's good for beginners.

  • @danlovesnan nothing wrong with this guy but drummers that study this shuffle (yes, people spend a lifetime studying/playing shuffles) can be very critical of others. This guy is actually exaggerating very much his strokes. Usually you'll see the hi-hat strokes bounced with a technique and the snare is has a lot of things ghost notes going on. Check out Jeff Porcaro or Bernard Purdie and Art Blakey. They're considered legends on the shuffl.

  • @0509killer best example for great shuffle: toto - rosanna

  • everyday i'm shuffling

  • thanks for breaking down the lesson so well...great teacher!

  • i can't play it well , my teacher says i can't keep it for long,, and i can't bounce the right stick well on the hi-hat, i'm freaking out

  • @JoyceThe keep on! you could practice at home with sticks and a can or something other out of metal

  • @Daffman999 yeah thanks!!! i am doing it everyday~!

  • @JoyceThe Many, many years ago I was playing in a band, I did not play the shuffle well back then...I want to encourage you...some things that drummers learn take time...sometimes it's more about "feeling" a groove than simply playing it...eventually, your head/heart and your hands/feet can connect on a deeper level, and suddenly you're playing the groove beyond "trying" - instead, you're "grooving"...give it time, you'll get it!...

  • @davss5 hmm.... actually i want to know how to be confident in drums. my classmates are...saying me that i don't fit to be a drummer. and that makes me lose my confident. I want to be connected to the drums but i dun have confident, so......

  • ima show thus to me dad so we can ploy steevy ray toones togetha,

  • Very good!

  • lay off idiots...this guy is good...

  • I think this guy votes republican.

  • This guy reminds me of shooter mcgavin

  • First drum teacher I've ever seen that's not even as good as Travis Barker, and that's saying something xD

  • you fucking clown .... you are making a simple concept seem incredibly complex ...and your shuffle sounds so cheezy .... just AWFUL

  • @sweetfly66 when one is teaching lessons, you must emphasize concepts like this so students can get a full understanding of the thing. To really become an amazing player, one must break down the craft and completely indulge themselves in it.

  • @roberttylershaver ... the point of teaching is twofold ... one , inspiration .. you must inspire the student .... two , make thins as simple as possible .... this guy does neither

  • some people here talking about the sound of the drums but don't understand nothing about the lesson..

  • damn three beats leave the middle out. Great teacher

  • The sound of your snare is really bad bro! The sound of the whole drum set actually!!

  • you got the beat man u just need to lurn how to hit the drum lol lol

  • can someone explain "leaving out the middle triplet". I don't understand what he means by that. thanks

  • @mtm1104

Triplets are counted like this: 1-trip-let 2-trip-let .. he means leaving out the "trip", thus leaving you with the shuffle beat.

  • this is a good video...especially for beginners like me. I think he is exaggerating the hits to be concise...give the guy a break.

  • This guy drums really... heavy shitty like... So I like the more smoother way to play the shuffle... this is just like a rock beat.... a shuffle beat becomes a shuffle beat when you add ghost notes.... he didnt add any so I guess this isn't hes kinda beat :p

  • @Sdgkiller, im with u there

  • haha this guy teaches at my college

  • @aconston I hope he doesn't teach drums or tuning :P

  • @pwngrinder Good one. I was thinking the same thing.
