Remember, these guys are Lawyers and not used to anything spontaneous.
Everything needs to be regulated to these people because they loathe any form of chaos (except the controlled chaos they themselves create).
Its not really their fault, its just simply the way these guys function and the enviroment they thrive in.
However; creating a social strukture based on those principles/methods is not compatible with a truly free society.
Then u just get western "lean" version of the "Sharia-laws".
