It's great the way coonhounds talk back. My blutick, Pepper, will correctly answer "What's on top of house?" but rarely gets "who's the world's greatest baseball player?" correct. I say it's Di Maggio while she insists it's Ruth!

I have a 3-year-old Bluetick, he came from a rescue and he couldn't be more of a gentleman. He howls a bit (mostly when I leave for work...but even then, just once or twice, then he's quiet...and at squirrels and cats.)

He's just a lovable lug. He likes his walks, then to relax on the sofa and have his head scratched.

He also snores lol.

@oo00oo00aAaGg ya well there are great dogs all coonhounds are they love to hunt and they love there owners but they can have a temper my dad has been raising coonhounds for running deer for 30 years and he tells they can be a mean dog and ive seen them been mean but theyll always love ya

Hey I have one too, he's like 16. He's been hit by a car too, but he got a broken hip out of it. He also showed up out of nowhere one winters day. He howls alot. He also doesn't have a name so everyone just calls him whatever. Like Bawrooo after the way he barks. He's the best dog I've owned.

I have a bluetick that was a stray. Weighed 7 lbs and just showed up. Didn't know what kind of dog he was. Ended up keeping him. GREATEST friend ever. Never tears up anything, lives in the house, smart as any dog I've seen. We love this dog, he is like one of the family now.

A squirrel did rip his lip once, but he has the hang of what to do with his squirrels now, no more injuries.

If getting another dog, bluetick for sure.

i have a blue tick named pepper. she's 12 years old. there a great hunting breed. but she was a out door dog. she was aboused when we got her. her actions after a month were realy funny. she's black and wite now. she's still holding on to the grass with 2 heart worm segerys. ever one loves her. she's a good tharape dog. my mom used to take her to group homes. SHE LOVES IT

Um... no. But whenever I corner a squirrel, it stares at me, and if I move, it runs away! Why do you like hunting? It wouldn't make me feel to good to kill an animal because I like seeing it dead. Where did you get Blue?

its not that i like to see it die or anything like that its a sport and i do it to put extra food in the fridge. its really not that easy, anamals are spooked very easly but anyways i got blue in fla. about 1 year ago

fersure .... i think that hunting is a fair game of chance aslong as your catching it in da wild n shit , i saw sum vid on here where they caught a coon , let it go about 5 feet in front of the dog and lets the dog chase it . but i dont really see anything wrong with it as long as its fair game
