  • They are SO POOR AND YET THEY HAVE 10 KIDS each.. it's terrible.. stop having kids in a dirty river people... why do kids have to suffer.

  • @januaryweek I didn't hear any thunder.

  • This is great! I was in the area, and saw the lightning. The frightening and strange fact was that there was hardly a cloud in the sky. We didn't stop long, kept driving, and tried to take pictures, but we just couldn't get the camera to expose long enough. Next time I'm bringing a better camera. It's a beautiful area, and the people are very poor but lovely. There are no good tourist spots, and many are afraid of the indigenous people, who have a (rumored I hope) dangerous reputation.

  • wow i wonder since its cloud to cloud if all that lightning makes any good THUNDER!

  • UH OK! travel

  • Interesting

  • How long has this been going on?

  • For centuries. In1595 Francis Drake abandoned an attack on the area when the lightning revealed his ships to the Spanish garrison. Apparently the lightning has stopped recently and nobody knows why.

  • lol

  • i don't fuck with Lightning that shit ain't cool at all

  • I don't like Lightening.

  • Lightening replaces OZONE in the atmosphere, the so called depletion would only happen to allow heat from the earth into space.

  • @Docthewrench No, lightning generates ozone in the troposphere, not the stratosphere where the protective ozone layer is

  • best random news story of the day
