I cry every time I hear this. My mom had a miscarriage because we went to a theme park (not saying which one) and the toilet fell off the wall and she fell. It's so sad that people have to go through this, if it's a sister or friend. I hope someday any kinds of illnesses will be cured for good. R.I.P My uncle aged 61, you will be missed :'(
@LilLaynei Well have you heard of the Out Of the Shadows Foundation, Amy Lee set it up to help raise money towards researching epilepsy, i think this is maybe something shes doing for Bonnie Lee's sake, since she died from an unknown illness it could've been epilepsy since there isn't really much know about it

Being able to talk about such a touchy topic, well, that is pure strength and courage. Being able to admit that you'd like to die as well, to be with someone passed, THAT IS AMAZING! It takes surreal talent to do and put up with all that Amy has throughout her 22 years. She is a beautiful person, with a pretty face and vocals that could kills. i was 6 when i lost my great-grandfather, and back then i was pretty torn up, and i'm still terribly sad over it, i couldn't imagine losing a sibling.... so don't say she didn't know what was going on, her pain is real, and she expresses it in a wonderful way. her music is wonderful and inspiring
loss and death can even affect young children even more than adults because they don't understand what's going on. All that they see is everyone is sad and someone is gone and their innocence is scarred.

When I listened to it I heard this song and it reminded me of my cousin. She's been horrifed of death ever since her second sister died.. She was born 3 or 5 months earlier than she should have and because of that her internal organs weren't fully developed. I think they said it was her lungs... And now my cousin has random depression periods where she'll become real quiet all of a sudden and walk away and start crying. And even though that wasn't my sister I still kinda relate..

I believe that Amy Lee once said she thinks it's somewhat sick people having sex to the bands songs. Plus, can we stop all this talk about people knowing Amy and what their version of events is. She died of an unidentified illness, when Amy was 6, at the age of 3. It's a tribute to the memory of her sister - don't ruin it, just enjoy the fact she has shared this with the world

When I listened to it I heard this song and it reminded me of my cousin. She's been horrifed of death ever since her second sister died.. She was born 3 or 5 months earlier than she should have and because of that her internal organs weren't fully developed. I think they said it was her lungs... And now my cousin has random depression periods where she'll become real quiet all of a sudden and walk away and start crying. And even though that wasn't my sister I still kinda relate..

This song is deafinitely the best song (lyrically) in the open door.
I love this song, but the part I love the most is the transition between the quiet part of the song and the "you're not alone" part.

I wish they would play this and "Hello" in concert, though I understand why she can't. I know I can't hold a conversation about my grandpa for long without tearing up, and that can't be happening when you're trying to sing on stage.

I don't think Amy Lee would have written and released two songs about her sister if she didn't want anyone to ever talk about it. And it's not like we're making fun of it. Who would ever do that? We're all sympathetic to her pain. I would hold her in my arms and cry with her if I could.
