@Rovdyret89 He means that the followers of chaos have no one leader, so they're spread out and often conflict with each other as much as other races. No mortal can ever command all of the Chaos Worshipers. As for the gobbins, they kind of work like mercenaries and scavengers

well, I would think that it's a Shadow Sentinel (also a kind of waywatcher) they just wander around alone. And also if you look at the clothing, it looks like a wood elf, more than a high/dark elves.

Because if Chaos destroys the Empire, the supply of slaves that the Dark Elves rely on goes bye-bye.
It's sorta like real world superpowers (US, China, Europe, etc) and oil. Nobody really cares about the Middle East itself, but they really care about the oil under the Middle East.

To my understanding, Chaos Warriors are part Demonic, and space marines had there genes altered... At least this is what I have been told.
