Southwest Airlines Flight 519 Landing Gear Caught on Fire

I just want to know why it took about 2:30 before either the evacuation started or the fire fighters got there. thats waaay too slow

They actually didn't wait as long to evacuate as it appeared...the cameraman is an idiot. First he completely missed the touchdown of the aircraft by zooming too far out, then he missed the popping of the chutes and evacuation by zooming too far in. Almost the entire aircraft was empty before he zoomed out enough to see it happening.

what took so long for the fire department to get there. this is why they get paid to be on site. straight roads to accident. houston fd could of possibly made it as quick

I really can´t understand why they took so long to evacuate...there was fire, I am sure the tower told them, and pretty much everyone else on frequency...

not surprised, those tires get pretty hot from landings/takeoffs, Southwest has nothing to do with this, it's kind of a freak accident, can happen anywhere at anytime

No one comments on the IDIOT who drops his brief case, the papers fall out and all he is worried about is picking up the papers instead of getting his ass far away from a plane that is partially on fire? Thank God there weren't that many people on the plane. All these retards had bags with them going down the slide.
