I'm not meaning to "personally offend" the Borland-ists, but from a musical standpoint, his vocals are really his weak point. I remember hearing that's what kept him from going solo for so long. None the less, good for him.
ignore this damianmjs guy... he is a fucking fag who keeps making GAY comments like these, who swears his life by fred durst and thinks fred durst is god!
wes left LB for this shit???or he is egoist??he so fool to need another band?he did it to be the captain???(sry for this) ME AND ALL OF THE LB'S FANS WANT WES BACK
Well, LB went boring. Remember that Josh Freese has played with Guns & Roses, NIN, Devo, The Police, A Perfect Circle and has recorded a lot of albums: Lost Prophets, Evanescence, New Radicals and a zillion more... And his favorite to play with is The Vandals, which is the most Alternative of those bands
Some accuse Wes of being a NIN Manson copy but the hard work he put into it showed distinct unique expression. I could definetly see some influence but the guy has his own sound despite the simularity. The album was well versed instead of something I would expect. The last three tracks go subtle and are lush in atmosphereic feel kinda weird and offbeat but they really pull together nicely. As for LB though I am not a fan I still find it sad. But I think it's best for all sides in the long run.
Of course people accuse Wes Borland of being a NiN copy, but they obviously don't know the facts.
Wes Borland was invited to play for NiN, but turned it down. So Trent Reznor taught Borland a thing or two about self-produced music, wished him the best and told him to express himself.
If anyone accuses Borland of not being original needs to check out Bigdumbface.
yeah this guy is creative but there seems to be some subtle level of influence but he definelty did something unique to him and really unexpected. I thought it was good atleast in my opinion.
Limp bizkit fuckings sucks. Anyone who likes limp bizkit, is a fucking idiot. The only thing limp bizkit had going for them was this guy, Wes Boreland. And obviously he wasn't happy with LB because his BLB stuff is way harder. Not singing about stupid shit like "Nookie" and "Chocolate starfish". So fuck off.
I like how you destroy your credibility, by putting a comma where it shouldn't be in a sentence. "Anyone who likes limp bizkit, is a fucking idiot."
The only thing we agree on is that Wes is an awesome guitar player. But Limp knew how to make music that was actually fun to listen to! Blood pumping, and you don't have to take it so virally seriously... They were essentially the only band on the planet who ever went the route of doing this. Look where they got with it...
DJCrazyface thats a matter of your opinion in taste. Some would say more serious and darker layered music is blood pumping some may not go for that as much as in your case. And for me not really being a fan of LB except the latest EP which is simular to Rage but had it's own unique feel. And actaully Durst stop being only aware of himself in music it was much darker then most of their stuff. I like fun music aswell especially shit to dance to but in my opinion BLB album was pretty driven.
Well, yeah, of course it's all a matter of opinion... Shit, all music is!
Most people, when the name Fred Durst is brought into any sensible conversation about... Anything... Go into this auto-piloted hate mode. I understand this and can do nothing about it, so I simply accept that that is the nature of music and being a fan of ANY band. Just the way it is...
I understand I am not a fred fan but it gets annoying after awhile when thats all people pint out. I am a fan of Wes but I don't let that cloud my pinion of him as if oh he must be perfect. I'm sure he caused problems not needed but Fred did try to dictate to much musically he was alittle controlling but he is prssured to make his music live up to a level to live up to sales expectation which Wes didn't care as much for.
They just were really different of creating sound so it just didn't work any further. And Wes dosen't have the old record label trying to pin in to the wall and feels content with his new found freedom. Fred was angry but he became more hurt about him leaving then anything. Even though it is sad especially for the toll it took of Durst emotionaly atleast that stress will be over now. Which means both dsides can work free of that stress and debates. In the end it's not that bad.
And to focus on your comment of music being more opinion I agree to an extent. Some things are opinions like what someone thinks is better but some things concerning music aren't just opinins but more comparing and contrasting with music of the time like if everyone followed only pop music and someone can out mixing conventional stuff with unique distinctive stuff then that would be by definition obviously more creative. Though t say whats better is up to peoples opinions.
Sorry I posted a lot but just making note again it's not like LB is over and I have heard Durst is already pundering for the record. Yeah so what it won't have Wes playing with them but finally Wes can breathe easy and finally express himself and Bizkit can focus towards progressing. ppl bitch about it alot but they fail to see the possitives it will provide for LB and Wes. The part thats sad to me is not that Wes parted but on really bad terms on issues.
But really, if Wes isn't part of the group... Bizkit is ESSENTIALLY over.
Sure, they aren't over as a band. But they will never recover the sound they lost when they lost Wes. He's too creative a force to the group, and anything else they produce will just not be what they used to be.
DJCrazyface perhaps thats the case but Wes wasn't the only member. I was a somewhat a fan of the very early days of LB not so much the mainstream sound but I do think they have the ability to do things without him. He was a big force your right about that but now maybe they can work even more to be creative as individuals. They do have a good following even with decline and all. Who knows really but they will eventually put out something. Though I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon.
Yeah dude. I agree. and on top of what you said...people need to realize that LB did have some meaningful, emotional songs. Actually..not some...a lot.
Manson and Wes are both talented and they are both unique thinkers but Wes is kinda on the other end of the spectrum. I'd say Philosophy is the defining difference between the two men, which makes the message of both men's music different. For example Manson says a lot of whats going on in his mind(in his music), whereas Wes says the emotion and leaves the message to the listener. Manson is straight forward while Wes is symbolic.

You're right, these are 2 VERY different bands.
I personally thought Limp Bizkit was so-so and Black Light Burns and Bigdumbface opened Borland up musically and I'm so glad he did them.
Not saying anything mean. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If everyone liked the same music, music would suck.
