Some accuse Wes of being a NIN Manson copy but the hard work he put into it showed distinct unique expression. I could definetly see some influence but the guy has his own sound despite the simularity. The album was well versed instead of something I would expect. The last three tracks go subtle and are lush in atmosphereic feel kinda weird and offbeat but they really pull together nicely. As for LB though I am not a fan I still find it sad. But I think it's best for all sides in the long run.

Wes Borland was invited to play for NiN, but turned it down. So Trent Reznor taught Borland a thing or two about self-produced music, wished him the best and told him to express himself.

DJCrazyface thats a matter of your opinion in taste. Some would say more serious and darker layered music is blood pumping some may not go for that as much as in your case. And for me not really being a fan of LB except the latest EP which is simular to Rage but had it's own unique feel. And actaully Durst stop being only aware of himself in music it was much darker then most of their stuff. I like fun music aswell especially shit to dance to but in my opinion BLB album was pretty driven.

They just were really different of creating sound so it just didn't work any further. And Wes dosen't have the old record label trying to pin in to the wall and feels content with his new found freedom. Fred was angry but he became more hurt about him leaving then anything. Even though it is sad especially for the toll it took of Durst emotionaly atleast that stress will be over now. Which means both dsides can work free of that stress and debates. In the end it's not that bad.

Some things are opinions like what someone thinks is better but some things concerning music aren't just opinins but more comparing and contrasting with music of the time like if everyone followed only pop music and someone can out mixing conventional stuff with unique distinctive stuff then that would be by definition obviously more creative. I was a somewhat a fan of the very early days of LB not so much the mainstream sound but I do think they have the ability to do things without him. He was a big force your right about that but now maybe they can work even more to be creative as individuals. They do have a good following even with decline and all. Who knows really but they will eventually put out something. Though I wouldn't expect anything anytime soon.

Kinda, but not at all.

Manson and Wes are both talented and they are both unique thinkers but Wes is kinda on the other end of the spectrum. I'd say Philosophy is the defining difference between the two men, which makes the message of both men's music different. For example Manson says a lot of whats going on in his mind(in his music), whereas Wes says the emotion and leaves the message to the listener. Manson is straight forward while Wes is symbolic.

But the music is similar.
