You should always get pierced, ears included, at a tattoo/piercing shop. I am glad they are fixed for you but places like Claires...Walmart...or any little jewelry stores have people doing the piercing that are not certified to pierce by the health department and other state agencies. Just be careful!

I got my ears pierced when I was 2 from claire's they are seriously the best, at one point I had left earrings out for a year and they did not grown over, and they have never gotten infected. I got my second hole when I was 12 and I went to walmart, it was a disaster!! I had them do it at the same time and they were crooked and they were constantly getting infected. I let them grow over and when I was 16 I went to piercing padgoda in the middle of the mall and got them repierced. So much better!

didn't know that you could get your ears pierced exactly at the same time Oo i don't recommend those piercing pistols anyways.. i went to a real piercer who did it with inflation needles. the 3 times i got it done with a pistol i had many problems with infection... it's just better for the tissue to get it done manually with needles :)

I did some research and just got my ears repierced with Titanium earrings. It hurt soooo bad this time! I never thought about scar tissue, though. Now I don't feel like such a wimp. ;) And these earrings aren't causing any problems! Yay!

you shouldnt get anything pierced with a gun...thats why i always go to tattoo parlors where they do it with a needle...that way there isnt as much scar tissue... and it doesnt hurt. they numb you up. especially like if you get your lip pierced like i just did :)

I feel for you Blair with the whole process of getting your ears pierced again. I had to get my ears pierced again when I was 14 or 15. My problem was that my pierced ears would bleed every time the wind moved my earrings. Then the girl that was piercing my ears the second time got the piercing gun stuck. I thought she was going to try again, but instead she pushed it through with her hands. Boy did I scream when she did that. I do not recommend having anyone pierce your ears by hand.
