@dignifiedflirt Where is your criterion to determine what is good and what is bad? It is not the goal of the Sharia to stone someone rather it is a deterrent. Have you even heard or studied the conditions that are needed to stone someone? You need 4 pious witnesses to see a clear indication of sexual intercourse between a married man, or women, with another unmarried man or women. You need to actually see penetration. In the history of Islam there has not been a lot maybe a handful of stonings.

@dignifiedflirt You didn't answer my question, what is your criterion to say what is advanced and what is not and what is not good and what is? And no the Quran doesn't underline. The punishments are detterents that is why in Islamic history when the law of Allah was actually established there is less crime than a weeks worth of crimes in India, or China, or America. Centuries. The conditions are near impossible to catch and most people that were stoned were from self confession.

@dignifiedflirt First the reign of the Taliban, when Sharia was in practice (there was still coprruption among the ranks of the Taliban keep in mind) there was less drug consumption, robbery, and rape. Now lets look at when the sharia was put in full implementation. We have cases in the Islamic world that in 1400 years we didn't have more than a handful of people stoned, in 800 years of Indonesia when it was under sharia there was only 2 people with their hands cut off. That is not less crime?

@dignifiedflirt I'm Afghan, No one forced the Afghans (rather no Muslim ancestor was forced to become Muslim) Actually The Sahaba used to conquer cities and NOT forced people to turn Muslim but only establish the government and give dawah with action. The Afghans were conquered 2-3 times because everytime they would eb conquered they would fight back and force out the Muslims. Than the Afghan Elders spoke with the Muslims, and they saw that this was the Truth and now we'll never leave Islam!!!

Rather its a very subjective area and going for or against it is useful but I do know that the 711 Muslim Umayyad General of Islam Muhammad ibn Qasim may Allah have mercy on him conquered india and told the Buddhists and Hindus to pay Jizya NOT forced conversion.

If you have a problem with the scriptures its just that you dont want to accept the truth about different faiths. Truth about faiths come through understanding of their respective scriptures.

And if you are counting on guys like Kabir or what you call as "real media" people for the truth... you are barking up the wrong tree
