  • Dragonball gt final bout is an amazing game you just have to be good at it and realize its older but its solid

  • ok i have a question... should i do this everytime that i want to play a copy or one time is enough????

  • Why are you using a ps1 when there is a wii and a Xbox sitting right next to it?

  • been a long time since iv seen a ps1

  • modchip simplest solution...

  • You're gay

  • how do you play psx backup that are 3 or 4 disks on a modded ps2 slim

  • the king is always in the middle!!!

  • I wish i had an slim model like this.

  • @cameron20101000 it works %100 better on a FAT PS1/PSX

  • nice to know, but fuck that. i'd just mod it or play on an emulator :P

  • I'm gonna try this! Wish me luck! ;D I wanna play my Gran Turismo 2!!!!

  • i want to play mortal kombat 3 i do the swap trick right i probably timing wrong

  • YAY I can play spyro! :D

  • 0:10 it says that swapping while the laser is operating will most likely cause damage to your playstation over time.what do you mean?reply me please!

  • fukin ROFLROFL ROFL! gimme that disk! my ff7 disk one got broken while moving!

  • @jsnunya why do people like final fantasy?i haven't understood!

  • @lucas66568 because it rules

  • @Replaytheoldgames4u and is there someone liking mr. driller?

  • no thans i can play backups also without swap trick.

    the real use is of:

    1)play scratched discs

    2)play ps2 discs

  • do i have to use cd-r or can i use a dvd-rw?

  • i prefer doing this with a gameshark, i dont have to stop the disc like that, simply put my gameshark and turn on the psone wiht the lid open and thats it

  • Thanks man It worked like a charm!

  • then when i pressed a button it froze

  • is 10x speed enough as im thinking of doing rayman 1 but the swap trick only worked once out of 50 trys

  • ????????? my ps1 can play burned games without mods!!! wtf

  • i have a psx and i modded and i did the swap trick with gran tursimo and it worked my model number is scph-1001 model

  • How did u get FF7 on CD-R? The file I have is over 700 MB.

  • dude, you are awesome :DDD

  • If the FMVs are slow, I burned it wrong? What is actually the preferred speed?

  • I did this with my scph-101 and it doesnt work! Why?!?

  • ps1 between wii and x box haha wtf..lol

  • FINAL BOUT IS THE SHIT!!

  • where are you from? you sound irish

  • @brigibrigdale Good ear.

    I am Irish. (Northern Ireland).

  • @lolDancube aboy the kid im from the republic of ireland

  • @lolDancube yo same here but not nothern

  • it kinda reminds me of indiana jones... swap the official with the fake... then with the official again, then quickly with teh fake... and if u fail, ur have a giant boulder chasing you! *cue music*

  • @killokid This is what actually happens! Haha.

  • @killokid I laugh remembering this :D

  • the PS1 (PSX) is better than any old gaming system any day. Now i can play digimon rumble arena for this system. You ROCK!

  • Dude, you have the sleight of hand.

  • Awesome, tried this before and couldn't ever get the timings down but I managed it with this tutorial. Still, I'll probably go the modchip route as they are so cheap to buy now. Cool video!

  • Can you use Dvd-r

  • @XposedIJay no

  • if this didn,t work

    I have the solution

    USE EMULATOR

  • @ahackerjack It just doesn't feel the same.

  • @SAFORecruitment01 I know

but that,s better than damaging the console

  • @ahackerjack It doesn't, AS LONG AS YOU CLOSE THE LID AFTER THE SWAP.

  • @SAFORecruitment01 whatever , that console is very important to me because this is the first console I started playing on it since I was 5 , I won,t do anything sacrifice it :)

  • @ahackerjack I respect that, I prefer this than the goddamn PS3, any-fucking-day. It's probably because I have two, either way, take care of your's.

  • @SAFORecruitment01 you are one from those people I respect *thumbs up*

  • That playstation is unmodded is it?

  • if i switch back to original disck then sony logo dont dissapear. help!

  • I've only been able to successfully make Twisted Metal 3 work with this trick. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Could it be the ISOs on the discs themselves?

  • My only official PSOne game wont play past the PlayStation logo. Do I need it to go farther?

  • This is really easy, you're probably just really stupid.

  • What's the POINT of this if you already have the original?! It's the SAME GAME!

  • Isn't this trick harmful for your ps1 hardware? suddenly stopping it while its spinning at top speed is probably not good for the spinning mechanism

  • @kornypony

Yeah, overtime it just ruins the PS1.

  • @Turok4458 is that what happened to your ps1? or are you just assuming that it would be broken in time

  • @kornypony

It's just common sense, when the disc is spinning and then you suddenly stop it, it will eventually wear out the PS1. I never had a PS1, though.

  • does this trick work on PS2?

  • @HangingWithChuck1218

    Just takes good timing bro.

    Enjoy dem videogames.

  • yeah i can play ff ix in japanese!

  • how do you make the actual disk backups though?

just burn the same files? burn an iso?

    how?

  • @Ultrox007

burn an ISO using ImgBurn to a decent disc.

  • PS1 is th best!

  • @TheModderboy I have a ps1

  • omg ! i remember doing this way back! good old memories...

  • i dont know what you guys are doing, i can just insert and play my burnt disks without swapping or any other kinda trick

  • @mkeats89 then its flashed

  • like you drew the ps1 logo on the disc :P haha

  • Hey, I got the first model Ps1 and when I try to do the disc swap, when the playstation logo dissapears, I swap in the burnt one and after 15 seconds, the disc stops spinning. Help? :(

  • Dragonball Final Bout is not an awful game!

  • Most people who comment on this vid is stupid Wtf PS1 N64 FTW!!!!!!!

  • @kenthy95 I have both, still play both, like both.

    Fuck yeah.

  • WELCOME TO JURASSIC PARK !

  • at the Left side XBOX360 , Right side Wii and you will play with the ps one ????

  • @ValerioPetina

Yeah, and pretty much any other good videogame/console.

Infact, I use my Wii to play SNES games too :P

  • @lolDancube So you have the Homebrew Channel too with the SNES Emulator ?

  • @bayern1232 Yeah, except I have an SNES channel.

    Fuck yeah, Homebrew.

  • @lolDancube HIGH FIVE! *smack* YEAH!

  • @ValerioPetina One of the best consoles ever created...

  • thanx dude got it the second time i did it :)

  • who the fuck has these

  • @TheModderboy

You have got to be kidding.

  • thanks man tried others and didnt work but your method was great. thanks!

  • hey , what about ntsc games? works, too?=) thanks

  • Wii vs. PSone:

    Graphics: PSone

    Bootup: PSone

    Games: PSone

    Overall: PSone

  • @d4MLiVE1

    Graphics? No^^

Games? Maybe...not every game, both consoles have some nice games :)

    Bootup: Definetly PSOne.

But...Wii has a Menue, which makes it really comfortable to navigate through the console.

And it has a Storage of to 2GB. And you can plugin SD Cards til 32GB and you can plugin external HDD til' 2TB and play games from it.

    :)

  • you jammy bastard haha

  • On the part where the burnt disc slows down, I swap it for the original, and it spins, but it just stays still on the PlayStation logo screen. Any help would be appreicated.

  • @Superwaluigi64

    Same for me. :s

  • Awesome!

I can sometimes get it to work but not always =/

I can't get past the Crash 3 title screen

  • thank you so much

  • it worked perfectly

  • thank you so much

    it worked perfectly

  • thank you so much

  • how do you put ps1 games on a cd-r cd

    please reply

  • @MrPabziiU use burning software such a imgburn, download it,open it,go into "Write Image Files" and insert ur CD-R,and then browse for ur file and then burn it.

  • I just want to say, people who have trouble with the last swap, I've learned that you have around 3 seconds to make this swap, so make sure you do it as fast as you can.

Also, I burn all my games at max speed using ImgBurn.

  • @lolDancube at last step,i swap in about 0.1 second.(LOL)

  • runs slow than cd error?

  • !! @@ !! THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK, RECENTLY TRIED OVER 2,000 TIMES WITH 43 DIFFERENT ORIGINAL PSX GAMES !! @@ !!

  • @OnlyBlazedGaming

You might be using a CD player.

  • @lolDancube About this vid:i learned too and no problem at swap on older,on newer is a problem coz i put a PSX fat drive and need to put the connector right and when try to swap is rebooting rarely works on newer :(

  • I almost laughed looking at a ps1

  • does this also work with playing NTSC games on a PAL PSOne?

A reaction would be MUCH appreciated

  • @guidope Absolutely.

If the game is designed to run on a PS1, this method will work with trial and error.

    So yeah, imports work :D

  • @lolDancube

it works! Now i can finally play xenogears again!

    thanks!

  • Thanks! Worked Perfectly!!

  • help!!! i burned the game valkyria profilem and i did all you've said, but the screen keeps black

    it cant lauch the game...

    what i do?

  • Most other people are saying it freezes at the psx logo screen with the disc still spinning, when i switch it out the first time it just attempts to spin 3 times and gives up, stopping completely

  • D: How do you play a game with more than one disc included like Final Fnatasy?

  • @sara2693Thanh

start the first cd..... play til you have to put in the second one.... save... turn the ps1 off and do the trick with the second cd and continue.....

  • k ps1 fat has a button you can just hold down i swaped two different games just at the logo screen and it work is this because they are both genuine copy's or will it work for backups as well

  • This works perfectly!! Got it right on my 2nd try! Awesome! TY

  • Can you play NTSC games on a PAL ps1 with this trick?

  • it froze at the sony entertainment screen

  • @stevohacks

    Yep :(

  • Does this work with games that have multiple discs

  • @kralle333 apparently you to play through the first one until it asked you to put in the second disc. then save. then do the same trick for the second one which is the "disc swap" However, when i was playing Chrono Cross, it says "insert disc 2" HOW THE HELL DO I SAVE. I saved a little before that but it still didn't work. Searched it up and it said to remove the disc 1(take out small tab) and just litterally insert disc 2(put back on small tab) but that didn't work. tell me if you know.

  • Curious: What music plays at the start? :D

  • yeah, i burn the file from the internet onto my disc, and the ps screen never passes, it works for my copied games though

  • Nice vid , but WTF I can never do this! You must have tried this several times and timed it in your head to do it this accurate. I get past the black screen and fuck up the last swap every time!

  • thanks, got it right on my first try :D

  • Thanks.

  • hey what speed do i burn psx games on alchol 120%?

  • @DisneysBonkers028 minimum : 8x, maximum (i tried this one) : 32x

  • You can play Japanese/ PAL/ NTSC games as well, but they must be the actual disc! :D

  • did i see a wii and xbox 360? do u have ps3

  • gay music !

  • You sound like Lossither.

  • This will work with FF VII, FF VIII and FF IX , right?

  • lol i was using an ice cream stick thing

  • @mrbichslap I can help if you need. you change the disc when it slows down right ? down do that. wait a sec. when it slows down then it starts gaining speed and again slows down. then it should work. but its not with every games. sometimes u swap as soon as disc slows down and sometimes it happeneds like i told.

  • @ChrisLovesGaming What do I do if the game has multiple discs like final fantasy?

  • As far as I know the reason people advise slow burning is because it reduces the risk of write errors. I usually burn my discs at highest speed available but for the ps1 games I try to burn at low speeds such as 4x/8x, but it generally doesn't matter too much as the same exact data will end up on the disc in the same form either way as long as there are no write errors.

  • @1990chrism correction I burn most of my discs at half the highest speed available but the ps1 games at 4x/8x

  • my pirated disk doesnt slow down as yours on 2:17.. cant get it to work i tried like billion times ;C any ideas?

  • @YouKondziu I know im not the guy you're asking but different discs give different load times, try using a different official disc to see if it pauses for longer

  • This really works! =>

The quality of the copied game depends on how you perform while swapping.

  • i burnt my games at 10x speed , which speed did you use ? I cant get mine to work

  • Thanks for the help, when I read about how to do this 2 years ago it never made any sense. But i noticed something that it did to my psone. The holder for the disc, the thing with the three berrings, came loose from the quick swappings of the discs. Pissed me off but i was able to play Tomba! for a couple of hours.

  • thank you a lot!

it worked but it creat a problem =(

the game start at black and white and the screen dont stop,

I tried different games. FFVIII and metal slug and the problem still the same

    Can you help me?

    ty ;D

  • @nunomaister You know the offical game you're using to swap with? It could be causing some problems.

Try a game made by the same company to swap with, higher chances of it being flawless.

  • just wondering where do u download the games? i have tryed alot of diff torrent sits but i cant find any ps1 games with more then 5 seeders

  • @memberlif snesorama.

I can't link you to it, but it's easily found :3

    Happy gaming, haha.

  • didnt work 4 me.

the screen ither just freezes on the ps1 logo part when the disk is still spinning or when the logo dissapears the screen goes black and the disk is still spinning but the screen dusnt do nuthin.

    please help!

  • @Mrbichslap It relies on timing, it doesn't have to be perfect, but uh.. nearly perfect? Haha.

Just try it a few times, and I really mean a few.. it could take a while before you get it.

If it still doesn't work, then maybe the burn is bad, or try a new ISO or something.

  • @lolDancube i tried lyk 100 times 2day and no luck.

im just gonna burn a new disc.

what burnin program shud i use 4 this 1?

(the one i was using 4 disc swap was a cd-r and i used dvd decrypter at 1X speed

  • @lolDancube kk i tried burning it onto another disk using imgburn but it still didnt work. :(

  • You can install a modchip in this model, I'm pretty sure you can install one in every model of the PS.

It shouldn't run the backups without swapping if there is no modchip, so yeahh I'm pretty sure there's one installed on your console.

  • for real?

  • thx you and IpodTouch293 really helped me

  • Where did you get that intro music from?

  • Final Fantasy 9 doesnt work...

I know that you have to patch die ISO first.

But after Booting with swap trick, theres just the "cracked by Paradox" logo, and then the screen goes black.

This sucks. But I ordered a modchip today :D

  • hey um i was just wondering if i want to say play a burned version of mgs and i got to the part were i had to switch disks for the rest of the game do i have to do somthing speachal or just do it normaly?

  • I'm pretty sure the burned version of disc 2 would work no problem with no swapping(except for replacing disc one, obviously), as far as I'm concerned.

  • k thanks lol

  • so it won't play bali only burnt

  • it worked after about 10 times of trying to get the hang of it!!! thanks so much! and i followed the advice of ATRus747, too:

"The thing is that I shouldn't be waiting for the logo to go away, but to wait for the original CD to just speed up"

    THANKS AGAIN!!

  • Comment removed

  • best guide for this on youtube, every other one has slightly different steps which never succeeded for me. kudos.

  • tried it once. didnt work. tried it again. didnt work. tried it one more time. broke my ps1 (sort of) lol. i guess some superglue could fix it maybe but i dont think disk swapping will work on it cos when i take a disk out the small circle thing the goes in the middle of the disk just comes off of the ps1 when i try changing. anyways, i have a chipped ps1 and lots of chipped games but when i try making my own it says please insert a ps1 disk or something can you help please?

  • I just wanna say, I done the same thing you did, be really careful when you glue it though lmao :P

If you're burning downloaded games, make sure they're good rips, as in, check comments on the game.

If you're making backups, I recommend you use Imgburn, and use good CD's if possible.

Apart from that, I dont think I can help that much, sorry bro.

  • 10,000 viewer :D

  • After almost a thousand tries, I finally got it!!! The thing is that I shouldn't be waiting for the logo to go away, but to wait for the original CD to just speed up... Thanks though for your help! I can now play all the games I want!! ^^

  • Oh jeez I just saw this message, haha.

Ahwell, that other message might help somebody else.

Glad to hear it worked, man :D

  • Hi! Thanks for the tip, but when i do this it doesn't work : when i put the original cd to make the PS logo disappears, it never does so... I tried almost 20 times and I couldn't get it... What would be the problem?

  • @ATRus747

Try using another original game, some games boot better than others.

  • Well I already tried 3 or 4 different games for the same result...

  • Hmm, that's weird.

Maybe it's just your timing being slightly off? I mean, it doesn't have to be 100% on time, but timing definately makes a huge difference.

And don't worry, sometimes I cant even boot games like this on the first go, and I've been doing this for about 8 years haha.

  • well, i'll try again and again 'till it works... maybe it's my burned game that is not good?

  • That could also be it, try burning it to a different cd brand, just incase they're one of the few brands that dont seem to work, haha.

  • I used Verbatim 52x 700MB discs. The fact is that I can't actually burn at 52x because my computer's maximum speed is 24x...

  • Hmm, I'm gonna go against what I said in my video and maybe suggest burning slower? Not like x2 or anything, but maybe x8 or x16?

If it doesnt work, I'd blame the image, it might be ripped incorrectly.

  • It's checking the TOC (Table of Contents) and scanning the tracks etc when it's slowing and speeding up. It's not checking your language lolwtf.

  • deal w/ it
