@kiwirobin Thanks Kiwi! I have realized that this animation is just a single slice of the whole. I need to go into 3D and there would be another 'clock' just above the level depicted here. This upper level would run in square root time, and the level above that would run in cube root time. The level below that depicted in this animation, would run in square time and could represent rationals. When a p makes a complete revolution, the p above will tick once and so on.
I think your on the right track...
I also see this fractal nature expressing itself...
The way the spiral develops itself also reminds me of the Fibonacci sequence...
