  • @2emeraldeyes I was thinking along the same lines myself!!! Too funny!!

  • Yum! I'm going to make this for Christmas Eve!

  • I mean raw vegan pie......my iPad was acting up

  • Beautiful music and rawnv

  • Looks so good!,,,

  • I thought the fat in nuts was good?

Raw diets are seeming more and more..fun to me,

but I could never give up baked sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli! :o

Maybe I'll do raw for a month at a time when I'm older

  • This apple pie looks wonderful, I'm glad I got this dvd from love street living foods

  • Beautiful process and presentation!

  • Hate to tell you guys this but that much processing essentually "cooks" the ingredients.

  • That looks so good I can hardly stand it!

  • My mouth is watering.

I made a raw apple pie once but it was more simple. I'd love to try this.

  • I made this yesterday. SO good! One trick though.. I did freeze it overnight so I could cut nice, clean slices.

  • I'd like to try and make this because it looks good, but that lady's voice is kind of annoying..

  • ha wonderful video, please continue i love watching it

    and thanks for sharing

  • I have this DVD and it is very good. Do keep in mind that raw food prep is really a personal thing, it can be VERY simple with just a few ingred. or complicated. I prefer simple because most people are living in the fast lane of life and don't have or want to make the time. It's like a form of health insurance! I eliminated all my health issues on a high raw vegan food lifestyle! And the flavors are so rich and vibrant! Try it just once!

  • I attempted this recipe. The best part for me was the "Almond Creme" topping. Re: The "filling" - I found the raisins overpowering, perhaps processing them with the dates would help. Also, this seems to need more seasoning than suggested. Maybe ginger, cardamom, pinch of salt? GOOD LUCK!

  • 48 hours prior - soak 2.5 c. almonds and soak 1 c. walnuts

Hours prior - soak 1 c. raisins and 3 c. dates in apple juice.

Crust: 2 c. soaked almonds, 1c. pitted dates, 1 tsp orange zest. Combine in food processor.

Filling: 8 apples (variety) chop 4 and soak in lemon juice, shred 4 and soak in apple juice. 1 c. soaked walnuts, 1 cup soaked dates. 1 c. soaked raisins. nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon zest.//Almond creme=1c. soaked, peeled almonds, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 2 c. soaked dates.

  • This lady seems like a snob. I can tell she's from the Caribbean, her accent slips. I don't know who she's fooling with that fake Madonna English accent.

Oh, yeah, this recipe looks great!

  • hahaha that was so the impression i got! especially with the music going on XD...it does look good though once you get past that initial presentation!

  • For real... How to raw foodists expect to get a following when all the recipes they present take so long to make?

  • there are complicated recipes like this, but most raw food is very, very simple. try the pie recipes in ani phyo's book. she doesn't over complicated it and the pies are sooo good. the best raw food is actually as simple as eating an apple.

  • Raw foodists are not politicians. We don't "expect to get a following". Some recipes are REALLY simple to make, some are complex. Just as in cooking. Once you get used to having soaked/sprouted nuts and grains in your fridge, the recipes can be assembled in a few minutes.

  • You have to think of this as a philosophy and a way of life. It may not be for everyone. As others have noted, many recipes are quite simple. There are, however, gourmet raw food recipes as well. Just as some say that individual lifestyles such as voluntary simplicity, slow food or life-long daily exercise regimens are easy for some to adapt to and too daunting for others, raw food is easiest for those with the motivation to make it work. Hope this helps you understand the raw food world.

  • Excellent presentation, I got lost a little bit with the later soaking in apple juice. Are you juicing apples yourself for the soaking. I will be ordering the dvd. Thanks for your help!! Julie
